Could you run through the basics as to what things you look for in general and your thought process from there, to arrive at go/no-go for the combo, sort of an algorithm?

I’ve seen on stream when Dan talks about number of installs etc. I imaginge that there are some basic things that need to be fulfilled before you start thinking about if it is possible. Never got into trying to figure it out, but would be fun to start :slight_smile:

I started on easy mode trying to do Puzzle #1 with no Clot. I can do it, but it still takes me 11c with one flex slot left in my second pile (I only make 2 piles in this one). Seeing that it can be done through one Clot for 8 - 11c was somewhat disheartening. :confused:

Also annoying is that you can’t spoiler preformatted text, so my tidy table of actions, clicks, etc can’t just be copied/pasted into the post.

Edit: For these 2 puzzles you only have 1 CVS in your decklist! 2x CVS is easy mode.

Puzzle #5 The runner has a sacrificial construct, but only 1 clone/SMC. Purge twice, but be ready to do both purges before scoring your EC. (Intermediate)

Puzzle #6 Win through double clot AND sacrificial construct! (Hard)

Careful that the runner can choose whether to use saccon during the first score or during the last 2 scores. Here’s a very small hint: Try solving it first with 3x AD in hand instead of 3x SfK.

5 actually came up in a game just now; 6 is contrived. I think the credit total of 5 might be improvable.

correct me if i’m wrong, but I think you can beat leela in #8 without ever giving her ability an eligible target with as little as 10 credits. combos are usually pretty easy with jackson/jackson/ec

Nice, biotic from hand allowing EC score after only 1 pile. That’s a new tactic for me.

If you have a vitruvius in hand instead of food, you don’t even need the SFK in hand. Just swap the order, SFSS it twice and use the vitru counter to get it. (edit: spoilered that; I think I’ll make it a puzzle)

Inadvertently spoiled Puzzle #4 intermediate after solving the easy one. Shouldn’t step 4 in the intermediate solution be to Interns a JH from Archives, since you already used SfMM to play the one on your hand? Minor detail.

You didn’t reclamate your kaguyas here. And your credit totals are a bit off around steps 5-6. Also you dropped your subliminal click on the floor from pile 1 – you seem to have 2 flex clicks!

Random question. Do you guys have any tips for managing your credit pool against cards you must use in the combo but are stuck in hand? Reuse has been so clutch for me in this regard I kinda want a second!

If there’s another thread for this, please move.

Puzzle #X²-21X+26=0 Step 1 Count how many cards you need in HQ to win > 50% through Utopia Shard after initial PS with 5 combo starters.

19 cards < 50%, 20 cards > 50% (if I’m not wrong)

Step 2 Count this manually while in an actual game :slight_smile:
