Argh, you’re right. Lamprey would still work. Damn you Wendigo!
But Analog Dreamers? Wendigo!
True; for now it’s ‘non-optional abilities’, I recall. So anything with a ‘may’ is fair game for Wendigo!

So it doesn’t even work for Keyhole?
I don’t think so; even trashing Keyhole mid-run can’t stop Keyhole. So it seems you’ve ‘used’ it when you started the run. This is true for Sneakdoor too (but not Analog Dreamers, which has a ‘may’ - though I can see this being argued about).
Is there a particular advantage to running it out of blue sun over BABW? The ability to bounce your grails?

Also more detail copied from the full netrunnerdb writeup:
ID - It has to be Blue Sun. You don’t have any fancy OAI/Curtain Wall tricks, but you still have virtual immunity to parasites. Don’t underestimate this, anyone playing heavy parasite recursion would flatten this deck out of any other ID and it’s just not worth it. Being able to move your dangerous ice around, pull back grails to support ones in more relevant places and more easily hit Restructure money are also nice bonuses, but it’s Parasites that keep you here.
Edit: Thinking about it, this is another reason to go up to 2x Swordsman. Eater + Cutlery is very annoying, you do sometimes need to lean on your ice as part of your econ, losing them once rezzed is a big deal.
For consolidation’s sake, after all the suggestions and tweaking, what is the decklist now?
Sounds like a way to protect NEXT ICE. Too bad it would cost all your Inf to use it.
This is the next version I intend to test, but the changes aren’t all that dramatic and if you don’t face many Eater based decks I wouldn’t bother with the Blacklist for EBC, Swordsman for Subliminal swap (Interns for Patch seems like a definite upgrade) Would like to fit a CVS in too but at this point it’s unclear what’s left to cut.

I see you didn’t fall into the Underway Renovation trap Just because it’s at its best in this kind of deck, doesn’t mean its best is good enough.
I think next time I go to a tournament I’m going to take an Off The Grid Underway Renovation deck to pair with a DLR Noise deck and MILL ALL THE CARDS.
yes, this is my feeling right now as well. I’m actually considering slotting in a lycan or two, as it is much more BS friendly than archer or grim, and it’s garbage rez/str ration doesn’t matter much at all when you’re getting refunded the 6 cr and landing the sub w/ batty. Still though, it is nice that archer and grim can sometimes stick themselves without the old man’s help.
interestingly, I’ve never lamented having too many wendigo - it does a great deal of work in this deck; but yes, it’s definitely on the block when it comes to looking for cards to cut to fit in an extra destoyer or two.
I see Vapo already re-linked his original description, but it bears repeating: parasite is one of, if not the best runner card in the game, and the ID that offers near immunity to it is (really sadly) irreplaceable. In the batty version, the ability to rez and recover a misplaced batty is also very crucial (you can also use this trick to show Batty’s face and get the runner “seeing” him everywhere…)
There must be something in the air, I have been looking at something similar and spotted Bewnt on youtube doing something on the same lines with OAI/curtainwall.
So far I’ve had as much success using hive and mother goddess(so good in blue sun) to straight rush as I have with actually locking the runner out. Also install advancing changeling till they get a sentry breaker out then swapping it for lycan is fun.
I did have underway and chronos in the original list but dropped them to try with fracking instead. Underway seemed amazing when the lock was working but I guess it would have been more productive to just score out, just not as funny as seeing the levy get milled while they cant get to your blacklist. Maybe if someone can figure out a way to play the archetype out of argus without just giving up against parasite it’d do work.
Anyways, here is where i ended up with my attempt

The thing thats in the air is the shit-winds ban-dingo, Batty is raising the shit-barometer, causing the shit to cling to the air, and soon it’ll result in a-shitnami. Hopefully, Batty will drown in the undershit of the waves.
What would your thoughts be on the following considerations?
-1 Power Shutdown
Potential Replacements: CVS, Off the Grid, Housekeeping
-1 Grim (or Archer)
+1 Taurus
The Power Shutdown removal gets covered by the Taurus. Then there are three options for other plays in the other cards. CVS, as others have said here, really put the hurt on Anarch. Off the Grid can help finish out the game or keep the Blacklist lock alive (it also allows you to reallocate the ICE on the OtG server back to HQ or other areas of need). Housekeeping, when played well, would make the runner’s recovery that much more difficult.
It is defined.
MaxX with regular breakers has a hilariously bad matchup against this, it turns out.
God this deck is a pain. Played it a few times now against randoms on jinteki.net (as well as @MasterAir) , its annoying as all hell. If they can rush the hostiles out then your faced with the very real archer lockdown, put up a blacklist behind one and your crying salty salty tears and rage quitting claiming “sorry man d/c’d”
This is from the perspective of noise though, id like to imagine eater + crescentus would make it a nicer matchup.
But still, basically the times iv won have been from lucky mills into an archives i was still able to access, with remotes and centrals completely locked out.
Some pointers for the anarchs following this thread - the old adage of dual suckers vs blue sun is vitally important here, archer doesnt die to anything less, faust turns into a snare every archer you pass - get 2x suckers online and build counters like crazy, but also run enough to make use of them or they will just slap ICE everywhere and go LOLpurge on you.
Someone else suggested Taurus over on nrdb. I’ll admit I had entirely failed to consider it, but I’m not sure it’s worth the slot. You definitely can’t afford to lose a Grim for it, that card is crucial for keeping people leaning on Sharpshooter or Faerie out, but I can see the argument for losing a Shutdown for it.
The problem is that money is the one front on which you don’t usually try to compete, so the dream of getting a double hardware trash is never going to happen, and you just don’t have the econ to repeatedly pump the trace without bankrupting yourself.
Off The Grid is too vulnerable in R&D and HQ is the server you’re usually least bothered about defending - you’re trying to score really fast, agendas don’t tend to pile up there. CVS and Housekeeping are definitely worth considering, I think the number of shutdown vs other tech is gonna come down to a meta call - CVS is gonna be great if everyone is running tons of Suckers, Housekeeping is presumably a nightmare for Stealth, but good old Power Shutdown is probably stronger than either against Kate (she’ll have spare econ cards to discard to Housekeeping and the lone sucker can be dealt with other ways)
My work here is done I bet nobody else has Shutdown both of your Grimoires yet though!
Not played against eater yet but had a couple games against Geist with B+E suite and crescentus with siphon spam, was not pretty from my side. If they can land a siphon and shutdown an archer you are pretty scoobed.
On the other hand letting them play three clone chips and start a run before rezzing blacklist is hilarious.
My tactic against geist while playing RP is to stack barriers. The problem with this archetype is that not only are you low etr of a single type, but there is also nothing like caprice stopping them once they get past your ice. I think the line should probably be grim in front of an etr with batty in the server, fire batty to resolve the program trash and hopefully force them to make 2 runs. Their recursion will run out eventually, try and make sure its before they are in the position to levy, and shutdown clone chips when ever you have the window to do so.
my experience so far with this deck has been that, unlike vegan blue sun, I feel much less the master of my own destiny. You’re racing against yourself in the form of Bad Publicity, and you’re racing against the runner in the form of landing PS/program trashing. In some ways, you’re also competing with your own ICE since you have to be quite judicious about grail placement in many matchups.
That all being said, there are some really well crafted elements to this deck that I think can be applied to other struggling Weyland builds. I found Power Shutdown a fairly effective filtration tool for finding blacklist or swordsman in matchups where I wanted them. I also thought the 1-of subliminal messaging was a strong, insightful choice, seeing as how it both resists power shutdown and helps turn it on. I honestly almost want 2, to help pad HQ in a deck that is installing and using operations fairly aggressively.
I’m excited to try and implement parts of this deck into other builds.
