@hhooo, love the MaxX build, nasty - fast, ICE B GONE. Wanton D. with Doppelganger is fantastic. Free Draw, Free run, so much going on in a turn with her.

That HB deck cracks me up, I was building something very similar and spending influence on 2 Caprice, because, well, why not in terms of influence? You have the in faction recursion with AM. My question is, how do you like the Snatch and Grab? I’ve been considering that a “solid” card in a glacier build as the Kati pounding can be your worst nightmare, but haven’t pulled it off yet or tested it enough.

Likewise. It’s been the 50th card in every single glacier deck I’ve build for a while, but never quite made the cut. It seems that with two out of three factions largely reliant on Kati for long-term econ that it ought to be good.

Corp carried me through this, going undefeated all day because Cerebral Static is too strong. But I’m not too satisfied with the corp deck at the moment – I typically run this as an Encryption Protocol/Untrashable variant, but SwitchblAndy and Maxx forced me to dilute the deck a bit to speed it up. Still, Cerebral Static continues to wreck non-Andy runners.

I finally won one of these! I placed fourth (dropped to go to a party) and third at the two previous SCs I went to, so I was happy to finally snag a regional bye and plaque. I was especially satisfied with this win, as I had to go through some absolute beasts, including the two winners from those aforementioned SCs and other strong players.

And my first tournament ever was Art of War’s SC almost exactly one year ago, where I won a total of one game. I’m pretty sure I was tied for last place? What a difference a year makes! Also, I got to explain the game to someone who was watching us play, and he seemed really psyched about it. I gave him my Kit box afterward, and that convinced him to pick up a core set at the store. Yayyy.

I wondered if that guy ended up buying the game. Hopefully it’ll inject a little life into our Tuesday games.

I can attest to this RP deck being goddamn miserable to play against; either you trash the money and thus don’t keep up, or you don’t trash the money and you don’t keep up, and then RP does RP stuff. Congrats again on the win!

(For my part I came in 3rd, playing the most boring NEH deck you can imagine, and @aandries’ Leela deck from NRDB.)

Dang, two Cerebral Static decks winning over the weekend. I’ve been timidly playing this card and then taking it back out of decks… maybe it’s time is come now that there are so many strong non-Andy IDs. It does nothing vs Valencia… but she’s not as popular as Leela, MaxX, Kit, Noise, Quetzal, which CS hoses. Kate can survive without the discount. Hmm…

Thanks! It’s much more miserable with the Encryption Protocol suite, but I’ll be bringing it back once The Valley is out.

If your corp does fine against Andy, it’s great to include! I hated dealing with Noise/Anarch disruption, which was big in our meta and giving me more trouble than other factions/IDs many months ago, so this helped cover that weakness. It’s somewhat playable against Valencia if they’re playing a janky Itinerant Protestors build. And I find it’s very annoying to Kate when played early – if you can keep it up all game (and I typically do), they’re spending a lot of credits they would have enjoyed discounts on otherwise.

How does Cerebral Static work with Leela if the Corp scores?

Well CS blanks the runner ID box. So it means that her ability does not exist therefore corp does not have to bounce a card.

Corp undefeated, runner dropped 2 games.

In case you were asking the other (more sensible) question, it seems like that “queue” concept from start of turn hijinx still applies, so Leela only gets her ability after the window to use it passes.

This happened to me over the weekend and we decided that Leela’s ability wouldn’t fire since her ID was blank once it was stolen and then current goes away. Might need some clarification though unless there is an obvious rules explanation I’m missing.

Only 1 RDI?

When you run for free, you don’t need to run as efficiently :stuck_out_tongue:

I used to run lists like these for HB. Particularly the last list.

How many games did you play vs Ice Destruction in some form? Looks like it would have that deck a really rough time. I stopped played NEXT suite for more ‘real’ ice for that main reason and never looked back, but curious for your take on it.

I found any measure of ice destruction that can keep up with Next ice, even with EBC, keeps my next tiny and ruins the deck.

When there’s no taxing barriers maybe
