Official Tournament Winning Decklists Page

After finishing second place twice I finally managed to snag a win in a Store Champ.

Location/Store: Lindhska Bokhandeln

Leela Patel: Trained Pragmatist
4-1 Swiss, 1-1 Elimination bracket. Both losses to Midseason Scorched NBN
I was expecting I’ve Had Worse to scare off scorched decks but they where out in full force and I needed Plascretes, not sure which two cards to cut but probably a Legwork and maybe one of the mediums (spending influence on breakers).

Sorry about the misleading deck titles and descriptions: NRDB won’t let me edit decks I already published.

The EtF looks nice. Was it a problem that all of your code gates can potentially get yog’d?

@Matuszczak - King of Poland

Travel 300km to Warsaw to play some Netrunner
Four rounds
Matuszczak in first round
Bye in second…

The Yog may be the answer, but sadly I didn’t decide to include it in my Gabe.

You should have travelled to Poznań instead, we played 6 rounds and no Matuszczak in sight

Poznań didn’t have Inermis’s cats.

@flaw Didn’t see a single Yog for the entire tournament yesterday: people tend to use other decoders these days in Poland. I’ve seen a few in the previous Store Champs though, playing the same suite of code gates and was usually able to cause them a lot of trouble with multiple NEXT’s or 5 card hand IQs. Influence for 2 Lotus Fields is easy to find if you want to hard-counter Yog, however I prefer the flexibility of IQ, which allows you to mess with Atman as well, while also being cheaper most of the time.

@spags  Feels awesome, but also sort of like sitting on the Iron Throne: lots of scary guys are trying to take me down :stuck_out_tongue: Shout out to Blackjazz, who was very close to succeeding yesterday and earned a well-deserved bye.

I have not played with IQ yet. How reliable can you empty your hand before you rez it, and keep it at 4-5 cards thereafter?

You say that like a 3-for-3 or 4-for-4 code gate isn’t good on its own in a world of Zu and Peacock. IQ doesn’t need to be played at Magical Christmas Land levels of efficiency to be a solid piece of ICE.

Hmm, I overlooked these breakers. Now, a suckerable Lotus Field for less than 5c does sound very good, even if it sometimes drops in strenght.

Guardian Games Store Championship

5 Rounds of Swiss, Cut to Top 8 Double Elimination
I took first going 6-4 in swiss and 4-0 in double elimination with @JohnnyCreations coming in at 2nd and @Saan at 3rd. Three of the top four already had byes and 1st place finishes so by making that cut @Saan already had it in the bag. The byes are getting pretty ridiculous, at this point someone will probably land a bye just by making top 8. I only made the cut after swiss because @bluebird503 dropped. This puts me at winning 100% of the store championships in PDX that Kyle doesn’t attend  . However, John won his while Kyle was still in the pool, does that make him better than me? Science says: Yes.
Fuck science.
My decks were doppel maxx and classic pe overwriter shenanigans.

I was 2nd after 5 rounds of swiss at 7-3 (one of the wins on time). I won my first three games of elim, lost the first game of the finals, then won the second. This was the second tournament that I brought my Kate list to and it’s been stellar at both. The corp deck is much less interesting, but does what it does.

wow, sweet-looking kate deck. what corps was it matched up against all day?

Thanks! I played against the government takeover blue sun deck, an hb glacier/fa hybrid, a turtlebacks/asset spam hbfa, turtlebacks NEH, RP grail, and one or two others I think. The two losses it had over the day were once to the blue sun deck (it’s a matchup I’m comfortable with, I just spent way to much early blowing up oversighted things and then got scorched from being careless), and then once in the finals to turtlebacks NEH because I didn’t check a remote I could have and it ended up being an astro.

Store championship on 3/29 at SCG Hobby Westmoreland in Latrobe PA. 7 players. Winner Rob Brown.
