Creating an anti Gabe/Criminal deck

There is one thing at the moment bugging me though: All of this advice is good, yet it doesn’t seem to apply directly to Criminals or their decks. It is more like “play smart”, which is useful against anybody.
Are Criminals really that strong? I feel like if we can’t come up with a “hate deck” that can get to 55% win rate or more something is really wrong with the current state of the game…

Its not that criminals are so strong that playing smart is the only answer, Criminals just punish people who do not play smart better than any other runner. For example, packing your deck with as many ice that cost less than 5 and do something useful is a great way to increase your win percentage against criminal.

Looking at the OCTGN data, criminals have a relative weakness to Jinteki: the other factions all do significantly better than their baseline vs Jinteki, and criminal doesn’t. However, Jinteki is still weak overall, so that’s not a great solution.

This might lead to an interesting hypothesis: The game is still so young and complex that even expert players make too many mistakes on the corp side. And Criminals take advantage of that. Sounds possible.
