Offensive. Oaktown, Astro, ABT, Atlas, etc. allow you to score while advancing your board state and your ability to score again. Defensive agendas (GFI, NAPD, Fetal AI, TFP) only have an effect if the runner accesses them.
My big worry is that after Patron gets released that Faust becomes one of the best breakers in shaper too. I could see an aggressive list that uses all the draw, DaVinci and shaper bs. Might be more consistent than what is currently around, Turn 2 faust 87% of games (on 3 SMC, 3 TestRun, & 2 Faust)?
Youâll have to explain that statement for me. Which CI archetype â one-turn 7-pt? scorch (with or without Accelerated Diagnostics) ? traditional FA with shipments and efficiency committee? something Iâm not thinking of?

Oaktown is like, an honorary 3/2, since it rebates the resources you spend scoring it before itâs even fully scored. And the positioning on install advance or install advance advance on oaktown are very similar to just install on a 3/2.
Nisei MKII is definitely a special resident of a category that has no other playable agendas and is just. that. good.
Iâve Had Worse in faction makes a lot of the plans for countering Fausts suck. In glacier Iâve tried out Merlin, and Twinsing Assassin, to specifically counter the resource that Faust runs off. The strategy was specifically meant for Faust, but ten times as effective against shaper and crim (to be fair the shapers that showed up with Faust got some disappointments), but against Anarch people would run with nothing but Faust, not see it coming, the trash 3 cards from their grip and draw 3 cards.
If you play a deck designed to kill like PE or Butchershop, theyâll just take it easy on the Faust because they know you canât score out fast with those strategies. But you know whatâs really good for finiding all 3 IHW? Wyldside Pancakes.
It feels like the best answer isnât to try to specifically counter the card, but to counter the tempo, and score out fast. There is no snake big enough to kill this mongoose, so you should play the dolphin game and run -less- ice, more cards that are Biotic or help you see Biotic or afford Biotic.
RP is doing ok against Faust for now because a str 10 Faust still canât win a psi game, but I feel like itâs something that just needs to be figured out. Once NEH cuts enough enigmas because they are sick of Faust, Anarchs should be able to run more of the multiaccess they need to lock down RPâs centrals.
You joke, but I won a 27 person SC with Morning Star.
it makes a lot of sense in a maxx AI deck with retrieval run
Donât forget that panic button!
I really hope this challenge is accepted.
Missing poll option: balance whining is stupid and the scourge of pretty much any CCG.
The more interesting questions are: how strong is Faust? How often should you expect your opponents to be playing it? How hard should you tune your corp deck against it?
a) Strong
b) Pretty much all the time
c) Ees a good plan, and
d) hope they donât also have ice destruction
It wonât be dan only plays top 40 IDâs
Now I want to see Lady Gaga and Katy Perry ID cardsâŚ
Sometimes balance complaints are legitimate. There would have been a lot of Magic players upset during combo winter and old Mirrodin before massive bans restored sanity to the format.
Maybe because this deck donât also play parasites and cutlery?
WTF! 201 credits. Why didnât Faust just run those Sundews? Was this a fake game? Because that Chaos Theory deck doesnât look like it could be legal, unless it was one of those 1x trash that I use all of the time.
Well it was jinteki.net so take it with a pinch of salt. They did run my sundews and museums but gave up when i got to about 30 credits and kept recurring them. Then i was on a mission to get stall the game as long as possible to put the faust player through some pain. Took about 1 hour in total, i had to not trigger some snares to get this far, but made it to 200 in the end.
Just trouble your corporate troubleshooter to make the troublesome brainstorm into a 4 str torrent of trouble.
