24/7 Philotic

This deck is a pretty vast improvement over the incredibly silly and fun Biotic Philotic combo. If it isn’t obvious, the combo is score your philotic, then 24/7 to sac an agenda dealing lethal damage on the 4-6 1 pt’ers they’ve stolen. Use classic Jinteki work compression to force out agendas. Almost no ice, basically used to force and install and that’s it. Unlike biotic philotic, you don’t need to let the Philotic sit there in your hand while you wait for them to get up to 4-6 agenda pts. You have a bunch of tricks to FA it, (ToL, Biotic) and the new Future is Now is excellent at finding your combo pieces.

24/7 Philotic (3.0) (49 cards)

Jinteki: Personal Evolution

Agenda (18)
2 Chronos Project
3 Clone Retirement
1 Fetal AI
2 Gila Hands Arcology
3 House of Knives
1 Philotic Entanglement
3 Profiteering
3 The Future is Now

Asset (11)
3 Jackson Howard
2 Project Junebug
3 Psychic Field
3 Snare!

Operation (14)
2 24/7 News Cycle
1 Biotic Labor
3 Hedge Fund
3 Medical Research Fundraiser
3 Mushin No Shin
2 Trick of Light

Barrier (2)
2 Ice Wall

Code Gate (1)
1 Yagura

Sentry (3)
1 Cortex Lock
2 Komainu

Anyway, I was playing a bunch of this and its tons of fun. Mushin’d has some nuance to your targets. Future is Now is the #1 target, as you can slow roll it until you draw philotic or biotic to pull the piece you need and FA. After that is Philotic if you think they won’t run, but Junebug/Psychic field are next because they’re traps and you can ToL off of them. Profiteering is the best agenda to score early, as it gives you all the money you need. HoK is super strong as well. Basically, try to score set up the philotic score while scoring incidental 1 pt’ers and then find 24/7 and laugh as it basically becomes impossible to score against you with 24/7 into victory. Fetal Ai is in there to free up some deck slots, but you’re always unhappy for them to steal it.

Early game you’re generally weak if they just run every unadvanced remote, as you need to score for you econ a lot of the time. So only keep multi-agenda hands if you also have psychic field (snare+hedge+agenda is also acceptable).

Biggest weak points are getting philotic stolen. Clot is kinda of a pain, as it shutdowns your FA plan so gotta bluff it out the old fashioned way. Recurring Deus X is also a pain unless you can Chronos it. Though you can do double 24/7 to out lethal their number of clonechips. Apex also is basically unbeatable with heartbeat, but we won’t talk about that.

Anyway, not realllllly a competive deck, but its tons of fun and very silly. And isn’t nearly as bad as I’d thought it would be.

If your plan is focused on philotic, you should think about using fast track. Maybe some Excalibur to protect your servers from being run often?

The mythic package of mother goddess is worth thinking about (and Excalibur). Could be reasonable.

I dropped fast track because you don’t have enough ice to make hq safe and you don’t have enough fa tools to consistently fast track same turn score. I’ve found the future is now works really well for finding you philotic when you need it and has been sufficient.

Seems like more of an ice based scoring package rather than traps. How’d the Econ home up? Only other thing is no Jackson and that I think victor 1.0 isn’t a good use of influence.

Shikyu seems interesting, how’d it work.

I haven’t actually played it yet. (I design a lot of decks). I’ll give it a go soon and let you know

Yeah, I glossed over the future is now, it makes more sense thinking about it. I’m thinking icelight decks might be more of a thing with Mumbad virtual tour coming out, I’m excited for that card.

24/7 works quite well in straight Cambridge style PE. Aside from firing a Philotic a second time, you can also regenerate HoK tokens, or fire a Chronos at will.

So this was the jank deck I brought to KoS. I went 3-2 with it.

I won in classic Jinteki style with a flatline round 1.
Lost to Andy who had some well timed siphons in round 2.
Scored out in a miracle against DLR Val in round 3.
Lost on stream vs. Noise against Aaron in round 4.
And killed Leela in round 5 with TFIN->Biotic Philotic.

It was fun. Highly recommend.

TFIN so good!

I’ve been playing this exclustively after worlds. Had tons of fun  .
This is like what I think a vacation that Netrunner can give you.

edit: and a deck that barely use any cards that you will need in other decks …

I had a lot of fun flatlining people left and right with my 24/7 Philotic list. Profiteering is SO good! Psychic Field is also turning out better than expected. I recently added a Ronin and An Offer You Can’t Refuse and was surprised at the utility. Offer is great with Cortex Lock early-game and Komainu mid-game. It also helps with 24/7 as an agenda to forfeit, especially when you can’t score your 3/1s.

The combo is excellent, but even if they steal Philotic or you are otherwise unable to trigger it, normal PE is still pretty good. This is important because it’s never a good idea to invest so much of your strategy in a 1-of agenda. It’s well-situated in this Faust-ridden meta as well.

Future is Now is so good in this archetype. @crfluency killed me on OCTGN because she Mushin No Shinned one out and was able to go and get the Philotic with it.

The future is now is what makes the deck not complete garbage IMO. Let’s you tutor for combo pieces as well as setting us the mushin->philotic play.

It’s the best mushin target (I usually out junebug as #2 if I have it and psyhiv field as #3).

Here’s my version I have been playing a while (inspired by mention of 24/7 Philotic in KoS stream)

Sentry (5)
1x Assassin (Data and Destiny)
2x Cortex Lock (The Valley)
2x Komainu (Honor and Profit)

Other (1)
1x Kitsune (First Contact)

Couple of points:
Yaguras and Daily Business Show to safeguard/find the Philotic. Tempted to try a Team Sponsorship to enable the Mushined TFiN score at start of turn install Philotic and score.

Shi Kyu’s are great to keep you from losing before you can kill, and also to up the number of agendas for Philotic KILL.

Kitsune in there to force feed a Shi Kyu. Can also sometimes tax a Faust (and cards) because they are afraid of what you will do with it.

Lockdown for the Lockdown → Psychic Field server. Hard to get the kill off of this since there’s no Neurals in this deck, but could happen by scoring an agenda. It’s primarily there to promote fear of Lockdown → Psychic Field enabling some never advance scores.

No Jackson’s! :open_mouth: Needed the influence for 2x Biotic and 24/7. Double Biotic can enable the Fast Track → 2x Biotic Philotic score. I was not able to advance things with enough regularity to rely on ToL. You pretty much want agendas to get stolen so usually there is not a pressing need to rescue them from archives.

No Snare!'s ! I like Snare! but don’t have the room. Plus they are expensive.

Assassin is a new addition. Haven’t really used it yet. Komainu is awesome again with all the Faust about. To keep Komainu taxing I hate to take the BP from Profiteering so only have 2x. I am currently testing 1x Braintrust in place of one Fetal. It may help put on the pressure, but broke runners hitting Fetal is so sweet.
