(I didn’t see a category for audio, so I am dropping this here)
Since I’ve been playing around with audio (DJing, podcasting, radio DJing) for the last +10 years (“playing”, since it has always been a hobby), and I love Netrunner’s setting, I decided to smash these two passions together and share the results with you. I also asked a musician friend from Australia to “guest star” with a few of his favourite tunes (he’s not a Netrunner player… yet ;-)).
We’ve already got the second part’s playlists ready, so expect more! I will post updates to this thread.
Exile man, I bookmarked your stuff and just got to it today! This stuff is phenomenal work, your small interludes aren’t distracting and help pace me while I’m zoning out.
I’m working on a project and when track 2 of Worlds Apart 1 came on I couldn’t stop smiling.
Personally, electronic music isn’t something that I know a lot about, so I can really enjoy it when it is thematically curated like this.
Thanks for doing this man, I will be listening for sure when you release more; I can’t say enough good things about it.
I am happy to hear that the time me & P45K put into selecting tracks and mixing them into something coherent turned into something nice for you and other listeners.
More to come, definitely - we’re on a minor festive break here, but the playlists are being put together as we speak ;-).
My only criticism is that I didn’t know of this before. This is really cool and the sort of thing that I can really get behind and enjoy. Massive props for what you’ve created already, this is so, so good for listening to as background music whilst making something.

Here’s a solid criminal jam I’ve been listening to while working on fanfic stuff. A lot of the Spinnerette self-title reminds me of Andromeda. This and ‘ghetto love’ at least.
I hope you’re already sharing (or planning to) those fanfic pieces. Android is a great setting, ripe for story-telling.
I used to DJ at a few parties (alt/goth/electro/indu/metal) back in the day, trying to get back into it, but since I moved countries, my contacts dried out and I need time to get back into the swing of things. I sometimes go live on air to do a metal-mostly show at a friendly net-frequency in my native language. All the stuff I cared to share so far is accessible from the same account that hosts Worlds Apart. The radio shows are more of a fun thing with a lot of randomness thrown into them, so they’re not fit for re-listening imho.
