Getting down to the end! For when we get to deckbuilding I was thinking that people could post up decklists constructed from the drafted cards, and the lists with the most likes would be chosen as the forum decks.

C: R.I.P. dreams of not having to run a 5/3. Neural EMP helps with the kill so I’m going with that

R: Ice Carver is technically just better than personal touch, wyrm is the other option, although it’s super expensive. Going with Ice Carver. It doesn’t play well with fixed strength breakers, but it does play well with alpha, darwin and crypsis

c: Neural emp. Not much good options that could be played with our economy.

r: with atman/darwin/knight rig I think that personal touch will be better than Icecarver and bishop.

Corp: Not sure we will play any of these, Midseasons is probably the best of the bunch so I’m voting for that.

Runner: Lawyer Up and Wyrm are just not good enough to make the deck. Considering that we increase the range of ICE that Mimic breaks I think Ice Carver is a easy pick here (since personal touch will likely go on Darwin).

Off The Grid and Heimdall 2.0 are too slow and vulnerable. Midseason and Invasion are expensive enough that unless we’re rolling them into immediate victory they set us back more than they damage the Runner. Invasion of Privacy is calling to me, but the economy just isn’t there for it.

Neural EMP by process of elimination.

Wyrm without Parasite is a waste of time. Lawyer up too inefficient at drawing and we can shake the occasional tag the old fashioned way. Bishop is really good at helping out Darwin and Mimic and would help save Datasucker tokens, but Personal Touch helps fixed strength breakers in a much more dependable way.

Ice Carver helps Darwin and Crypsis and - to a lesser extent - Mimic. It might hurt Atman a little bit. If it hurts Atman too much in a given situation, we just don’t play the card.

Results of Day 29

Neural EMP was the corp pick, with 60% of the vote.

Alright, this is the very last pick to be made in the draft! After this it is the auto picks, and then deckbuilding.

Another corp-pack that got nothing very exciting. Chimera is probably playable even if the cost is really annoying with no reliable economy.

For the runner I’m perfectly happy to grab Gorman Drip v1 here, it’s a mediocre economycard but the rest of the pack is pretty much unplayable.

C: punitive and hunter are the two best cards in the pack, and they’re both only borderline playable. I guess punitive since we have to run a 3 pointer

R: Cyber cypher is a useful trick, the rest is garbage since we don’t have nearly enough programs for scheherazade

I like Chimera a lot here, since we’ve pulled Crypsis, 2 Darwin and an Atman from the pool, the gear check will hold on for longer.

The cost of Chimera is not a big deal. It’ll likely go on the scoring remote to rush Agendas, and if it does end up on a central server we’d mostly only rez it against run events. We do have a pop-up that we can stick in front of it if we want a little more sustained defence.

Punitive Counterstrike I also like quite a bit. Potential flatline, credit or draw tax on the runner. Punitive/Scorch is something that could happen with Data Raven and shadowing the deck.

I wish we could take both but what it comes down to is economy. I’m sure that we will have the economy to activate Chimera in a moment of need, but I’m less sure we can win a trace battle even with a base 5 if the counterstrike ever truly threatens the runner.

I like Gorman Drip v1 since it is passive economy and it is a virus we can tutor with Djinn - maybe - and because none of the others make any sense at all. Self Trashing means not so much concern on the MU front.

That is it for drafting packs! The next step is deckbuilding. Post your decklist ideas to this thread, and the lists with the most likes will be chosen as the lists to play during the draft games (please like the lists that you think are good). If you are interested in representing the forums during the OCTGN games, also please note that in one of your posts.

Pssst would you remind me of the deckbuilding parameters and draft rules? I don’t much care to scroll through 330 posts ;(

30 card minimum. 14-15 agenda points for corp. 6 points to win.

Best rush deck I could make out of our pool. we don’t have the money to flip big ice, so I went with mostly cheap stuff, focusing on sentries due to how weak pipeline is. backup plan is flatline so I went with junebug over aggressive secretary

I get the feeling people don’t quite get how fast draft is, with only 2 support cards, darwin isn’t going to do much against people who wipe regularly, which is just going to get extra value if we run drip. we’re playing to 2-3 agendas, we need to not give windows for them to score. if we had another personal touch and a cyberfeeder it might work, but we don’t have enough

I think you have the right idea by cutting the Darwins, but we need Gorman Drip in there for additional economy. I also think we don’t need Aurora. Presumably Aurora is in there for Wraparound, but I think Knight is a sufficient answer for that, given the amount of tutoring, draw and recursion we have. I also don’t like Alpha, too expensive/slow. I pulled out Alpha and went with Public Sympathy instead, because it allows us to be aggressive/fast with our Stimhacks while avoiding damage issues in the mid to late game.

I sort of agree that our Corp deck is low on economy, but cutting Tollbooth and Wall of Thorns doesn’t make sense to me if x2 Muckraker is being left in. The 5 to rez and the 1 BP is a comparable economic hit to 8 to rez of Thorns/Booth, and given our lean economy the runner might very well blow through Muckraker on Econ differential alone. I cut the Muckrakers and put in a hunter. Cutting Ronin makes sense from the perspective that it is very economy intensive. Without Ronin or Neural EMP I like Aggressive Secretary more than Junebug. There’s also an economic/bluffing argument regarding Junebug, which tends to want 2 advancements to have an impact, where the Secretary is fine with 1 - which fits the state of our economy and agenda spread better.

I will volunteer to run a draft deck in OCTGN, however my running skills have been pretty shoddy lately so buyer beware. Pretty confident with corp though.
