[Express] Disappeared Clone: The Ken Tenma Experience

Hehe the break metrics on Little Engine are a little funny because they are all breaking 1 more subroutine than they have to, which puts them all at 8c before receiving 5c back.

I think it was exactly this: Deckbuilder · NetrunnerDB

I don’t tend to make more than one or maybe two runs per turn with this deck, though, so I’m not sure. Then again, I’m mostly playing against tricky kill decks or glaciers. 1 credit often seems better than another run–I definitely like Doppelgänger if I want to run a ton though.

Run Amok seems like a ton of fun!

Doppelganger is nice for siphon spam HQ, bounce to remotes turn, especially when you have to blow SoT for siphon along side normal siphon.

5 inf for Zu and Run Amok is rough. That could be the third Lucky Find and and Indexing!

or Peacock and a 2nd Corroder!

Run amok is good for remote plays, I’d sooner run gordian and the 3rd lucky, that said, as before, money is not a problem. The downside to Run Amok though, is that people already don’t 1 ice rush vs criminal thanks to IJ.

I think desperado is a fine place to look if you’re rooting around for a couple extra influence. personally I like it- it does a lot of work in any matchup and is especially strong against asset spam (which the deck doesn’t otherwise combat super well, I think, given that it’s harder to make siphon matter if they have assets to rez). That said, the deck is definitely plenty rich without it, so subbing it out is fine I think.

As I’m on medium, I might try Box-E or logos. dopple is a bit too win-more to be a good fit with medium, and the scenario you describe (double siphon into remote attack) doesn’t make sense to me b/c your dopple run would have to happen before the second siphon…Logos in particular might be nice to pull exactly the card you need to get tempo back on your side after any corp score.

how did you like run amok? Obviously it’s a strong card but without medium or interfaces it seems like a remote-attack-only tool. Did you find yourself ever SoTing it or spamming it on a remote multiple times a turn to break an ash or something similar? personally noto has done serious work for me but I’m definitely tempted here…

Peacock and a 2nd Corroder!
[/quote]god, I hate myself for agreeing, but honestly I’m totally onboard this train now. Zu is just not that great without datasuckers and the 2 influence goes a long way in blue (2x corroder is nice, but there’s a bunch of other great possibilities also)

Doppelganger can be triggered on any run (as long as its only 1 time) during your turn, as it’s effect is optional.

Run amok was great 1-2 times, interesting to keep as a threat in the heap, but overall…not great. Indexing could be better by a long shot, since the plan vs asset spam decks is generally “win off centrals before they can do anything with their cash/remotes”

Single atman could be fine too, for those Eli decks :stuck_out_tongue: also as a fall back incase you lose your breaker somehow.

huh, right you are. Cool, you learn something new every day I guess :stuck_out_tongue: Definitely makes dopple much more appealing. I still suspect desperado/noto is the right choice for my preferences (namely, medium) but this definitely seems like a really solid swap now.

I’m interested in trying run amok in the medium version of the list b/c of obvious synergy there, but 1-of indexing would make the TME build much more appealing to me, and adds even more synergy with dopple.

Atman sounds nice also, probably a really good choice if you have a more glacier-heavy meta, especially the sentry-heavy HBs that seem popular right now and might put the squeeze on mongoose. Obviously also better in the TME lists (mem concerns w/medium)

money+breakers=GO is exactly my preference as well, and I think these lists scratch that itch really well. Definitely making me want to stick with it and get things tuned up for possible competition.

I’ve been using Run Amok in my anarch decks (I know, I’m dirty), and I’ve found it to be really excellent. I try to pressure R&D and HQ early and get a lead in agenda points to pressure the corp to try scoring out of a remote that I leave alone until I Run Amok. Most often the corp won’t rez anything in response, because anarchs are dirty and kill enough ICE without inviting the corp to pick some more ICE to die.

I am curious how well the card has been working for you and how you use it? I’ve been thinking of using it in my next attempt at a criminal deck.

I’m only 5 games or so in with it, its…okay. Its nice to play for free with ken + 2 PT, helps early game keeping ice ranks low, but with 1 of and no planned assault, I’m apt to think indexing can help you more by letting you play the inevitability game.

Great to see Express winning a Regional:

Seems solid, based on the same ideas as @tmoiynmwg’s Whizzard that won Vegas. Might actually have a decent IG match-up, although it sounds like the FFG Regional had none (?). But maybe losing the 3 trash credits and no ice destruction may make it very challenging, but it does have room for the Levy, and Siphon and ES for days. Looks like it has a solid NEH and HB matchup. Palana may be a problem if they defend HQ enough.

I like e3 here. It works with Faust and low strength, multisub ice, and it wrecks problem ice like Eli 1.0 and Ichi 1.0.

I’m finding that deck to be unexpectedly strong…

I actually have been toying around with it. I think it needs some refining, but it is pretty solid.

This is my variant of it for now. You haven’t lived until you start your turn, pop the hop and fisk to be up 6+ cards and combo into a siphon. It makes you feel as though you are arm wrestling Poseidon himself.
