[Jinteki RP] Perfecting Perfection: The Best Deck Ever

If you look up win-more in the dictionary you’ll just see a picture of Utopia Fragment

I like to win more!

I’ve played this deck with all the fragments, Eden is the second best, utopia is a win more but it doesn’t really help you win. Hades is really good especially with DBS. There’s nothing like firing off 5 giraffes and still having two Jackson’s in the deck. It also lets you casually filter your hand out of tfp if they get stuck there, as even before crick runners don’t check archives every turn. These have been my experiences. I wouldn’t do Eden unless your ice count is at or bove 18 as by the time it gets rolling it doesn’t do too much.

It might not seem like it but if you have 2 dbs firing every turn and a Hades, you will see the cards again before too long. If your memory is really good you can let them have at rd all day long if you know exactly where all the agendas are. It’s not too hard.

I’m currently at 2 Booth, 3 Eli, 1 ASH, 3 JH, 1 Ichi, 1 DBS. I love the assets, but prefer punishing ICE.

I’ve been playing the 1 boot camp, 1 blacklist, 1 dbs for a few days, it’s certainly the way forward. Lag time is also going to get way better as people start running NRE after next pack. Lotus field with stuff like lag time, power shutdown, and patch (encrypted portals?) will crush Yog dependent decks.

Patch is two influence so I’m wary about it in RP, but it’ll probably be good enough in Blue Sun to deserve a slot or two.

Yeah I just meant in general, patch in RP would be out of the question.

What about Tech Startup instead of EBC?

Haha, Yog won’t even get a few weeks out of NRE you’re saying.

The 1 trash cost is the issue. There are very few 1-trash cost cards serious netrunner bros will play. Caprice may be the only one. Cool effect but makes your centrals vulnerable.

No, it’s way too easy to hate out.

Re: tech startup - is easier to trash from centrals, has no additional utility on is own vs Leela or Valencia. One influence is worth it to switch.

As well as that issue, there are a few other issues which make it a lot worse -

  • Tech Startup is one turn slower (can be a big deal, especially in situations with Keyhole where you need Jackson now or whatever)
  • Less flexible, can’t crack it whilst they’re running it
  • Doesn’t do extra work vs Val like EBC does which is a big deal, good Val decks have a very good MU vs RP.

This is true! It’s either RegMaxX or Val for me at regionals–still testing.

Anything RP might want to do to adjust for these two decks? Both decks because of ice destruction; MaxX because of the fast setup and Val because of the discounted runs and Blackmail. It probably doesn’t need to–can’t win every match, and frequently you’ll still beat Val and MaxX.

I think RegMaxX with NRE will be OK if people start Patching and Lag Timin’ their L. Fields. She has David and should probably have Spoon’d.

Bootcamp and Blacklist both help the issue and work together.

Man, Blacklist seems wicked (read: mean) in RP. Do you stick it in your scoring remote while you wait for your opportunity? Interns back later? Usually you want to be doing that with your 'Dews.

True. A second David has been on my shortlist for Maxx for a long time.

Are there any match videos demonstrating how Blacklist can be played to devastating effect in RP, or can someone share an optimal way to play it? Haven’t had an opportunity to test it myself, and I’m just not used to securing much more than two remotes in RP (scoring and sundew servers).

Putting Blacklist behind a spare Pup should slow the runner down nicely for a reasonable click investment.

Or maybe you get into a situation where you can actually put a lock on the runner. I’d guess that’s rare but something that does happen occasionally.
