Jumpstart is a fun new game mode created as part of the Netrunner reboot project. It creates decks using an algorithm from the cards up to Order and Chaos. If you’d like a chance to try out the game mode and like having structured events to play in, read below for details.
What is this?
A free online tournament using the Jumpstart random deck-generator created as part of the Netrunner reboot project. (Read more about Jumpstart here.)
Are there prizes?
No. This is for fun and to give the Jumpstart system a good test.
How does it work?
Each week you will be paired with an opponent and given seven days to arrange to play a pair of games. Each person will Corp once and Run once, just like in a regular Netrunner tournament. You will, however, be creating a new deck each time you play.
What do I need to do to join?
You will need the following to play:
- Fill out this registration form
- Have access to this tournament bracket
- Have an account on Reteki, the reboot clone of Jinteki
- Join the tournament Slack channel (if you are not on Slack, use this invitation to join)
How do I arrange games?
After pairings go up each week, contact your opponent using direct messenger on Slack. You should reach out to your opponent the day pairings go live, as it can sometimes be difficult to arrange a time to play.
Where do I report match results?
The winner of each match should report results here.
When is the deadline to sign up?
Sign ups will close a midnight Eastern time on Saturday, September 5. The first pairings will go live on September 6.
What if I have other questions?
