Probably won’t make the cut, so I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped organize and run this. Seriously you guys are crazy, and amazing to have pulled off an international 120+ player tournament all online. Wow, I’m blown away.

Kinda close to making the cut, but I’m out. Had good games, but made one huge mistake in one of my corp matches, which straight up lost me the game. Just needed to trash ANYTHING else with the 2x trashes from Sagittarius vs Stealth Andy to not give away even a single access for the rest of the game. Two more prestige would’ve been nice. Of course, then the rest of the matchups would’ve been different etc, but still.

What did you trash?

Tuning into stream for first time in order to watch @Mattastrophic from Portland play his pet decks in round 7

I’m English too. And knackered.

I had Architect on R&D after the Sagittarius. But I didn’t trash Switchblade or either of the two Cloaks - went for Corroder and Refractor instead (which would’ve been ok if the runner didn’t already have 5 points, since that would’ve locked him out after that run, Stealth Andy rarely runs too many backups or recursion for programs…). If he couldn’t have broken the Architect, I could’ve installed Ash from archives and I think he didn’t even have money to trash it…also, I had plenty of money and needed at most 2 turns to win. :expressionless:

edit: Yep, 19 prestige definintely would’ve made the cut.

I’m in the UK too (StarkAndTully). Its 1:30am here. I’m surviving on a diet of tiramisu and instant coffee.

Are there any prizes for the top 16, or is it only top 4?

Anyone know which deck Timmy Wong picked?

Aha, so round two was a continuation of you crushing people from the Birmingham meta ;P.

Can we maybe have seperate brackets for US/EU next time and then do elims on another day (US/EU playing each other there)?

Possibly. Though they were pretty close games if I recall. Although I’m not sure if I can really recall anything at this stage of the evening.

This would definitely be nice. Also, playing on a Saturday is preferrable because going to work on a Monday after only a few hours sleep is not great.

I think the time differences needs to be looked at for next time. Either cut on a seperate day (which can be done, as Dan/Sly have all the decks), or perhaps split the tourney into brackets by timezone.

The Aldershot group strikes again!

Can someone explain the ranking system?

I have 3-1-3 and am ranked 17. Calimsha is 2-0-5 and is ranked 16. Bblum has more wins than either of us at 4-1-2 and is ranked 19.

Ok so look at it this way, for the win bracket (the first number) you get 4 points, the second 0, the third 2 because you split. But it does not take into account timed wins, which means that people like bblum only got 18 points. Pretty easy to figure out

Assuming you’ve not got any timed wins, all 3 of you have the same number of wins. The W-L-D thing just records whether you won both, lost both or split, which is irrelevant as its your total number of game wins and the SOS from your game losses that count.

Played the most epic game in recent memory.
