Official Tournament Winning Decklists Page

I think there are really good arguments for the 2nd SEA or the 2nd Ash. I’ll weigh in on Snare’s performance after a bunch more games as it or the 2nd Tollbooth would be the first to go.

I decided to play the Snare because I usually have one Atlas token to spend on SEA when needed for the kill, and I felt that games would go long enough that I’d see the Ash (or the Interns and they would trash the Ash) by the time I really needed it, which is when the Runner is fully rigged.

Not sure if you’re trolling or you just mistakenly thought Kitsune was playable.

Let me know when you’re going to record

Business show is absolutely dirty. I’ve won a 24 man tournament with two copies in RP, and they’ve kept the spot. Getting one up and running is crazy good, getting two is totally unassailable.

This doesn’t fire twice, though, correct?

You draw three, put two back. Multiple times I hit clusters of three agendas, put two on the bottom, and was able to not give a damn about defending R&D because I knew where 8/9 agendas were. It’s seriously insane.

I’m well aware of the popular conception. The popular conception is wrong.
It is possible to build a deck around it.

EBC to pull it (or jackson howard or ellie mills or…) Architect gives you recursion. Play it in front of a goddess in blue sun. Or in Genomics, where the trashing snare opens a score window.
Interns to put a bow on it.

DBS looks great, I’ve got to test it. Why no ELP?

I love the Business Show. We’ll see but I’m going to call it as THE #1 asset of Lunar Cycle.

One interesting interaction I encountered (luckily as Kate the aggressor) was that DBS is very bad if Runner starts getting out RDIs. In a tournament a few weeks ago I Modded out two RDIs by about turn 5, after my NEH opponent had dropped two Business Shows. It was easy enough to get into R&D, which meant I was seeing 3 fresh cards every run.

Just one thing to consider when playing the Show.

I love that Showing Off would actually be useful if corps all started trying to bury agendas with Daily Business Show :).

Spending the influence on ice is just has a higher impact in this deck. ELP doesn’t do a ton vs anyone outside of anarch, and you don’t need help beating noise currently. We’ll see after O&C, ELP might find it’s way back in, but wanton destruction will be the biggest threat, and ELP doesn’t do anything against it.

We’ve got Caprice for it, I don’t think it’s gonna be a bigger threat than Account Siphon.
ELP works good against nearly everyone. I’m more against 1 of Ash, as in many games it won’t come/runner will trash it from R&D/HQ.

The elp really isn’t that strong against crim or shapers who save their run events for when you try to score, I’ve never liked it in either matchup over better ice. The one ash is essentially a free scoring window whenever you draw it. Business show helps you find singletons more reliably, and interns works as a tutor for anything that gets trashed. It’s not as good as caprice, but it’s certainly the best 4th upgrade, and you do want 4. I can’t see myself going to ELP one snatch had good run events too, as I’m not running it now, but it’s not bad. I’m just of the opinion that it helps beat players who are worse than you, and RP doesn’t need help in that category.

I don’t know, any card that accelerates your ability to draw out of R&D lock seems like a very good card to me. I’ve been happy to have it in every NEH game.

Glad to hear that DBS is doing work. Really like that card. I was always on the fence about ELP. Seems more like a ‘win more’ card in RP.

1 ASH is key, though. What else are you spending those fat stacks on?

Am I a weirdo for liking 2 Ash in my RP decks? Maybe with DBS it’s not as necessary.

DBS uses “additional,” so it works like The Cleaners. Each instance of DBS modifies the draw event. So 1 DBS is Look at 2, Keep 1; 2 DBS is look at 3, Keep 1. Like good old race for the galaxy.

Edit: Also worth noting that Lukas confirmed this on Twitter.

Tollbooth.

I think you’re largely correct, ELP isn’t that good against anything but Anarch and non-prepaid shaper. It’s not like it’s bad or anything, but a smart player will be able to mitigate the effect enough that the influence is possibly better spent upgrading some ICE. Not sure about Ichi vs Tollbooth, but I think either makes sense depending on how much money you want to be spending on ICE or how many Komainus you want to be playing. I’m going to try my worlds list -1 ELP -1 Wraparound +1 DBS +1 Ichi and see how it does. I really felt like I was missing the 1 PAD at worlds and at the very least, the Bako->Wraparound upgrade seems less good than the PAD->DBS upgrade.

Won a small (10ppl) tourney in Harrisburg, PA with these decks two weekends ago. I went 8-0 on the day. A few noteS:

Tech’d against PE but didn’t face any. Box-E didn’t hit the table once. Modded/RDI is great vs NEH. David is fantastic out of Shaper, esp. in these Blue Sun days. With Deus X and David, you can get through nearly every piece of painful ice.

Daily Business show is indeed fantastic as we’ve discussed.

License Acquisition had a great play in which my opponent blew his entire load getting into RD to trash the Ash that was protecting it, only to have me fast advance out the LA next turn and put Ash right back on it, rezzed and ready to go (all my agendas were waiting in RD). Seems like a fun card, I wanted to try it out, since you can usually still get to your singleton Breaking News when you need it. And rezzing a San San for free is a major pain in the ass for the runner, especially if you can do it behind some ice.

My NEH is designed to be more consistent and taxing than the standard Biotic Labor version. The Pups are there to protect assets against Sec Testing and tax away early credits from the runner with the idea that he’ll be more reluctant to trash assets. Also to cause some head-scratching! Also because I played RP for many months and don’t want to give up my pups.
