Official Tournament Winning Decklists Page

The CT deck is oddball, but it’s full of functional pieces which is often all you need, especially if you know what your opponent’s whole gameplan is (thanks, NEH!) :). My Local Meta built Clicking Hell expecting it to be a joke, but it’s surprisingly not bad, especially if you’re unfamiliar with it! A buddy rode it to 5th yesterday. Gratz!

I’ve been working on a similar deck for some time. Sadly, I tried to shoehorn Ekomind into mine. Timmy’s is obv. more sound.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t work for every tournament winning decklist. I set up something similar for our state, we have a Colorado Netrunner account on NRDB that I post most winning lists too. Which is how I found out that you’re not allowed to publish identical copies of already published decklists. So if your winning player already published his own list, or your winning player just used a couple of net lists, their decks could not be published to NRDB.

Leela went 3-3 on the day, though one of those losses was a complete misplay vs @spags (RP Grail) during the finals. He had a Jackson on the board and had discarded a couple cards and I forgot there were facedowns in Archives (I swear he was trying to hide them) and dropped a Sneakdoor and ran a bunch and saw nothing. He had pitched the agendas into archives obviously. The tempo loss was huge. Fatigue was definitely the reason I lost that one.

The other two losses were to EtF 2-7 (horrible draw after mulligan – turn two was draw 4 cards and discard 3 'cause no econ) and RP 6-7. NEH Grail went 7-1 on the day.

I really like the deck more than the 3-3 record shows. It’s been doing great since I switched to it in the Stimhack League. It hasn’t had that many plays yet so there is definitely some room to tweak the econ in it (maybe add SoT), but I think I’m pretty set on the Program package. Breaking big Code Gates is what the deck struggles with the most, but there’s no great option in Criminal or Anarch for that (though D4v1d is nice, but fuck Lotus). That’s what’s nice about Shaper – Cyber Cyphers with Scavenge. EtF is probably my biggest concern at the moment. These “Clicking Hell” decks are starting to get pretty solid and the bounce ability hurts them the least since they get a credit when they reinstall.

I played MaxX Eater and NEH Fastrobiotics, pretty standard lists. I got 2nd place at a 20 player SC a month earlier with the same decks, just updated MaxX a bit. In this tournament MaxX went 6-0 and NEH 5-1.

Runner highlights include:

  • Coming back from getting 2 Eaters trashed by a single Swordsman (1 installed, 1 from net damage) and finding both Femme at the last 10-15 cards.
  • Click 1: Knifed on a rezzed Ice Wall on HQ. Click 2-4: Run HQ stealing 2 Nisei and 1 Medical Breakthrough. Then hitting some agendas with Wanton forcing him to use Jackson, then Utopia shard for trashing the last agenda.

Corp highlights, not so much, just solid FA, except I guess:

  • Installing 2 naked NAPD at 6 points and Astrotoken

Congrats on another SC win with almost completely original decks. I know Jon and Noah are great players.

I would probably drop the 2nd Switchblade for a third Security Testing in Stealth Andy and the Cyberdex Virus Suite was probably a bit useless but there have been some Noise Chakana builds in my meta.

I might do a full write up later but for now, I was happy to have the rest of the top 4 rounded out by my fiancee and two friends. Very fun day all around.

Since @tmoiynmwg and Darren were too tired to show up I managed to win a little store champ at Brookhurst Hobbies.

I confirm Your theory. I’m a systematic netdecker. Have no time / skills to brew my own deck. The runner decklist is very probably Aaaron’s. I’v netdecked it a couple of weeks ago, and I don’t remember the exact source. Leela worked surprisingly well for me, from the time she was printed. Definitely a T1 identity.
The Corp deck is also netdecked and upgraded by adding two crisium in order to combat potential siphon / keyhole threats.

Supplier Andy and NEARPAD won FFG’s Store Champ (35 players, 6 rounds, top 8), going 4-0 in elims from the 8th seed. This player is an old-school ONR guy, noted rogue deckbuilder, and we’ve faced off many times before. This time, he 2-0ed me in Swiss, contributing to my downfall from table 1 at round 4 to table 11 at round 6.

I’ll see if I can get lists. I can assure you that even for these archetypes, they are nonstandard. For example, he puts Sub Boosts on Architects to make them as annoying as possible, then laughs at the 2x Knifed in your heap.

That said, one could argue that the people who won the random drawings for 3x Datasucker and 1x Eli effectively won the tournament. I find it quite odd that the person who won the event didn’t get the best prize. I get incentivizing people to come out, and also to stick around, but I think at least one of the big prizes should have been reserved for the winner.

One, it’s awesome that your store gets arguably better prizes than any Regional this year. Two, it’s FFG; this is par for the course.

It’s true.

I was surprised at the turnout, though – Mead Hall 2 weeks prior had 48 players, and we all thought FFG would be pushing twice that many, since their tournaments are usually the biggest by a wide margin and they also opened it up to employees this year. But Mead Hall advertised their SC heavily online, offered $50/25/10/10 store credit to the top 4, and streamed it live the whole day, so they got players from as far away as Nebraska.

It’s not like FFG never puts rare stuff up for prizes, either. I’ve got an uncut Cyber Exodus sheet that I won for placing first at one of their 3 round monthly tournaments. (And I still have no idea WTF to do with it!) For that matter, the top prize for their 3-round monthly drafts is generally a Gabe. If they just put something like that or an Eli or some Datasuckers on top of the first place prize pool for their SC and announced it ahead of time, I think they’d get a lot more players. Although there’s probably some element of burnout around here as well; we’ve only had one weekend since the beginning of Feb that didn’t have an SC in or near Minneapolis, and there’s another one this weekend. Some of us are crazy enough to play in all of the ones we’re in town for, but most people pick and choose.

I’ll be curious to see if FFG changes anything for their Regional this summer.

I wish I could have attended but really happy he got his SC. The best part about playing him is that you’re almost guaranteed a new experience with his decks.
