Autoscripters for Fall Guys seems pretty easily swapped. I’ve found it to be too big of a tempo hit, and Fall Guy is even more valuable with Tech Trader.

scripter is a long term investment and very easily manages click compression. Its 3 because its possibly the best card in the deck. I’m usually dropping them off street peddlers, so for 2 and the TW trigger, its not really a tempo hit at all.

The only other obvious swaps would be the Savor-faires or some combination of 1 each of Bank Jobs/SOTs/Security Chips/Scrubber. You could use the Scrubber/Chip influence to turn Passport into Zu if desired.

With the 3x Peddlers and the Tech Writers, do you still prefer Makers over RDIs?

The three Same Old Thing makes it pretty important. Geist can normally get in once, every so often, somewhere. You can’t always pick where, and it’s actually okay to dump the Maker’s off a Peddler. The flexibility of SoT (and now it gives credits back!) is pretty critical.

I worry Clone Chip on the MWL may have killed Geist off, but I’m curious to see. I tried a build almost identical to this, and it felt close against everything except asset spam NEH FA, where it felt utterly helpless - I haven’t played the deck since.

Chip is probably swap for scrubber, but chip lets you feign weakness after blowing it all on an RnD run, but then you can suddenly boost your breakers to still get in. If chip ends up not as good (but its a writer trigger AND geist trigger), then 1 scrubber 1 of something else (stimhack or the bad pub thing to work with savoire-faire) would be the likely changes.

I don’t find clone chip super necessary.

Have you guys found the 2c for the Install worth the 1 click from the Autoscripter? It just seems like 5 deckslots and a 3c install that could be better as something else.

I do like the change of Chips to Zu, and Mongoose also to help alleviate pressure on the Shivs. I might consider swapping the Makers and/or Legworks for Interfaces, which helps the Peddlers and builds the Tech Writers to offset the increased cost a bit.

autoscripter is easily the best card in the deck besides tech trader. installing cards and getting clicks back to install the other things you draw is invaluable.

I can see the Autoscripter being useful as a Hayley-esque effect to build the Writers. I guess it’s more the Savor-Faires. Is it worth the 2c for 1 click in this deck?

yes it saves your bacon because you can install from hand the breakers you are drawing, giving you the ability to check servers without being fully built

@Larro yes, Autoscripter is worth it. Not sure about 3x but certainly worth it in this deck!

Savoire is good to make the corp make bad decisions during crucial points, so that they make a bad rez when you can get in, taking a tempo hit unnecessarily. Also, when theres bad pub, its not bad, just run to install :stuck_out_tongue: You can also run last click, and get the click back, an unsuspecting corp player might bone up and spend too much cash to protect against your last (5th) click run.

It feels like you really want a single Crescentus here. Make that bad rez count.

I’m always down for crescentus.

I played yesterday with Tech Trade. It was ridiculous when you have all three firing.

The Geist deck title is taken from Scavenge.Somewhere in the darkness,Exile cry himself to sleep.

Sorry if this has already been discussed earlier but is Mongoose really worth it compared to Gingerbread ?

Architect is not the star it used to be. And except Archer, the most common Sentry are usually tracer. (Komainu might still be a problem, but do we see that ICE often ? In my opinion, Armand is already weak against PE and RP so…)

This is what I’ve been testing recently. I don’t think it’s there yet, but it’s certainly got massive potential and it is a beautiful deck to play at times. I’m getting increasingly tempted to swap the desperados for something else (not forger as you often need the 5th mem for faerie/passport/breach/crescentus), so that i can fit in a couple of scrubbers at least

once Reflection comes out, it’ll be a perfect swap for Desperado and will free up 3 influence as well. that’ll be what i’ll be testing

you’re testing something really close to what i am, but i’ve also got 1x The Source and 1x Film Critic to help camp remotes (also more connections)

Political Operative / Councilman seem like they will be great as well, Sports Hopper can completely replace Plascrete, and Turning Wheel will also be really great for multi-access, which is something Geist noticeably lacks
MWL hit Geist pretty hard, but i think he’s more than making up for the difference by the end of the cycle
