Untested/Non-competitive Decklist MegaThread

I think at least 1 memstrips should be grimoire, because the effect is pretty good. Ixodidae is not particalarly useful, its an economy card that is literally the worst one you can slot (I think).

Thought Ixodidae would trigger off of PSI Games and could be used as fodder for Endless Hunger.

Pretty sure Ioxdidae doesnt trigger off the corp spending credits, just ‘losing’ them (ie Siphon Vamp etc)

This is the 9th version of a deck I’ve been playing and tweaking for a little over a year now. This version is not MWL legal (as you can see with the influence), but it is legal for a little under two more weeks. I’m playtesting a few different builds with some Mumbad cards.

Want to do something with GFI and Medtech. Not sure whether Glacier is viable at all, might be better to go Shell game with Mushins and possibly Shi.Kyu to prevent them nabbing 2x Future Perfects. 3 Jacksons might also be a little too much, influence is hard and running 2 might allow some better ice

I’ve got a store torment coming up this weekend and I’m planing on bringing this max Apocalypse deck. Deckbuilder · NetrunnerDB

A 45 card version of it went 3/1 at my local weekly meetup, and was SUPER fun to play. Lost to a blue sun with Crisium grid on HQ.

I took that experience and made some changes, this new version is 51 cards. I took out a bunch of dead draws and added more recursion and some utility that I feel really round out the deck. Fist up is a Sneekdoor beta (helps trash Crisium), two chop bots to trash my flipped programs, three Same Old Things to help recur AR levy lab access, two tropes and two vamp.

All of my theory crafting (and minimal play experience) suggests to this deck is very strong matched up vs decks that like to install a lot of things like ATF, Gagarin and RP.

It can outplay a tag and bag decks but you have to be very careful not to get scorched, that’s why it has vamps. If you dont have I’ve had worse in your hand then you need to vamp the corp down to zero credits before going for the Apocalypse play. Vamping is also a good idea if they have rezed data ravens because you’ll be floating those tags for a turn and they could triple scorch/traffic accident you.

I’d love feedback from more experienced max players on what I might do with this deck.

Mumbad City Grid was the card that excited me most from all the Mumbad spoilers so far. My thought process was for this experiment went as follows:

  1. What’s the most painful ICE we could force the Runner to encounter multiple times?
    Answer: Archer
  2. How do we feasibly rez Archer?
    Answer: Weyland Rush or PE
  3. Which seems more viable?
Answer: PE, for a number of reasons.

So far it’s 3-1. Sometimes it wins before the Runner does much. Early game you use fear tactics and late game you have the ability to FA the last Breakthrough. The best game so far was an attrition war versus a Noise where he was left with no cards in hand, Faust as only breaker, and was flatlined by a Breakthrough score with me at 5 cards left in RND. The Caprice can help to score, but they’re mostly to defend against Siphon, Apocalypse, and all the other mean stuff MaxX wants to do to your deck. I think it’s a stretch to even call this tier 2, but it’s been fun so far. I think the other way you play MCG is with Tollbooth in a glacier shell. This list tends to look a lot like glacier by the late game, with RND and remote 3-stacked with 1 or 2 ICE on HQ and probably just Crick on Archives. Early game you play like normal PE to hopefully score a 3/1 to turn on Archer ASAP. An Offer You Can’t Refuse could also be used to turn on Archer, using it very early before your opponent has a killer out. Seems less reliable, but I haven’t tried it.

Oh, 24/7 is there mostly to fire Chronos Project. I don’t foresee it getting any Philotic kills, but I suppose it’s possible. A few games already have seen my opponents on 4 agendas at end of game.

I’m not sure about Pup. Usually my opponents have plenty of money, even Faust lists.

To be clear, Mumbad City Grid doesn’t force the runner to encounter Archer twice right? It just forces a jack out if they can’t break?

Yes. They can always jack out.

Certainly discourages running for sure. Interesting deck I love the casual 24/7 splash without relying on it as a wincon.

Has anyone tried using the Root+Executive boot camp in Blue Sun as a form of economy (use bootcamp+root credits to rez ICE on your turn turn then recover the ICE the next)?

I’m a fan of Excalibur in Caprice decks if you’re using that as your main scoring route. Also triggers off Wormhole for Medium digs. Consider Interns to get surprise Caprice back. Click 1&2 Interns for Caprice into remote. Click 3, install Atlas. Excalibur is also good with Crisium Grid.

This is very, very similar to the deck I just went undefeated with in a tournament on Sunday. Hopefully, there will be an article up on it tonight =) I guess there’s several differences, but the general idea behind it is the same.

I strongly suspect this is not a coincidence  Over on the Penny Arcade Netrunner thread it was mentioned that someone went undefeated with a Hollywood Renovation/Dedication Ceremony/Caprice deck out of Titan, and I just pieced together roughly what I would do with that win condition. I guess that person was you!

I look forward to the article. This was literally a first draft for me, and I’ve fiddled the ice and put in the SEA/Scorch package too now. Still undefeated on jinteki.net! (two games)

The agenda suite is meh (7 5/3s would probably be better) but I wanted to use Goverment Takeover and kill people with Punitive. I’m surprised Midway is working as well as it is, Weyland has lots of multisub ICE that you are going to run anyways.

The problem with this kind of builds, which I think many people are trying is at first it seems you may want to try them on Titan but actually only work in Blue Sun. It allows you to punish facechecking, keeps you afloat early on which is absolutely necessary given your economy and it works better given Weyland’s ICE suite (Eg. It makes Hive, Caduceus and Datapike better).
