[Updated] I for one welcome our new Whizzard Overlord

I’ve been on 2 d4v1d in glass cannon maxx and noise for several months. One cannot have enough d4v1d when one is an anarch.

Get rid of the d4v1d, it’s a crutch card, you don’t need any copies of it. Get it out of there.

Says the Blue Sun player…

100% definitely for sure cut the 3 cost card that lets you derez 7-14 cost ice from your credit denial deck.

I agree. Too conditional.

laughing For what it’s worth, Eater covers for D4v1d when I can’t draw it. It’s expensive though. I wholeheartedly agree that D4v1d is great. I will aim to have two when I go to Philly.

Only craps on ITD Blue Sun and Susan. Not enough value outside of Wisconsin.

I’ve been called out, damn. Fine, run ONE, but only one.

Wisconsin Meta - if you can catch it. Scott and I have played different factions on both sides for each Regional. This weekend will be at least one more for me.

@spags How would you change your deck with BB as the last legal pack? NRE into special Order and?

-2 NRE, +1 Atman, +1 Career Fair was Wooly’s original pre NRE list.

You’re not the real spags, but I thank you sir!

I trust Wooley and Ben (@basoon). Could be Special Order and Legwork. Could be CF and SMC. Different strokes. I think SMC is cool, but prefer Atman.

I think Whizzard’s job searching days will be coming to an end once Underway is released.

What are peoples’s thoughts on slipping in some HQ multiaccess like Legwork or Nerve Agent into Wooley/Spags Whizzard? I like the idea of Nerve Agent most of all, because it can be recurred and costs no influence, but HQ multiaccess is something I’ve felt the deck lacks. Running HQ for a single access and maybe a Datasucker counter is always a bit eurgh.

Funny you should say that, here’s the list I ran last weekend:

Worked fine, loved the flow. Didn’t miss D4V1D all day. Stimhack is a flex slot, could be a lot of other things. Injects could also be BabyFace if you’re expecting a more glacierish meta.

Hilarious to see how different tournament experiences could be. After my experience in Cambridge, i’m trying to figure out how to put a 3rd in!

Nerve Agent is a great fit for a deck with Yog and all the parasites, chances are HQ is gonna end up with some feeble code gate based defences while the ice that actually does stuff goes on R&D and the remote, and when you have cheap HQ access it’s absolutely brutal. Swapping atman for SMC and one of the Mediums for Nerve Agent could work? Or just dumping a sucker for one I guess?

i’m surprised to see so many people eager to take out Symmetrical Visage. it might make sense to replace that draw (and CF) with Street Peddler, but most just don’t seem to think it’s important? it did a lot of work for me – but maybe because i need a card that encourages drawing since i sometimes struggle with making sure i draw enough (instead of sticking to make the best with what i have).

What’d you face? The only D4v1d-able pieces I ever saw during the weekend were:

  • Tollbooth (which is either parasited or often handled by 4tman)
  • Crick (which is only that strength on Archives)
  • Archer (which I’d rather 6tman, really)
  • Susan (which is usually run through scarcely enough that Mimic + Suckers was totally fine)

Did you play against a crap-load of Blue Sun or something?
