What is the worst card in the game?!

You know, I might just have to check it out. I would really like to see how defective brainchips does in jinteki

And thus it begins…

L5R tore itself to shreds over when cards remember and forget things. It’s a bad place for a game to go.

They have to forget, or what the hell is test ground good for? I’m thinking test ground is like next ice, waiting for the other parts, so derezzing might be more relevant. Therefore we should be getting a solid answer on this in the near future I’d say.

It’s for all the other uses mentioned earlier, mainly for cards that give you something when you rez them.

You haven’t heard? Test Ground is for Advanced Assembly Line, obv.

Those are filthy excuses for this card existing. That would be like the color grey existing just because there needs to be a color that makes people feel ambivalent and depressed. If those are the only cards that combo with test ground, I’ll be depressed.

It’s still an advanceable trap that has a trash paid ability… I think they may have been a little gunshy after jackson and wanted to make sure that things that can bait a runner into an unproductive run aren’t too good.

I’m with you on the advanceable trap part, I just can’t imagine they would willingly release this card, with no other way to support it/justify its inclusion in non joke decks. During a draft that was set up to have a lot of targets for it, it would be totally awesome.

We need more draft discussion.

What about cards that aren’t exactly ā€œbad,ā€ but they’re just so completely not worth the deck space even in an intentionally super jank deck? e.g. something like Cortez Chip.

You’re describing an easy 40-50% of the card pool (:
