Prepaid is generally meh outside of Kate, but you can double-dip with the Ken ability, which is a pretty good synergy, I guess.
Ken only needs one Prepaid installed to break even on every run event heâs likely to play. The other(s) are just there so you see it soon enough to matter.
Won a small GNK today with an incredibly goofy Ken deck I came up with the night before. Should be up on the front page soonish, but Iâll post the list here. I think it needs a lot of work, but it only dropped one game in tournament somehow.

@kookoobah with some updates to the Faust Gabe deck. EASYMARKBOYS. This deck is the real thing guys.
Ryan Burke is repping a similar build.
Yeah, I like every change made. Sad to have to include plascretes, but convenience shop is enough of an issue to warrant 'em. Good stuff.
Why not Faust Leela instead of Faust Gabe? You can run the same exact deck but get a better FA matchup while only losing a bit of HQ pressure. You are already running 3 account siphons with SOT support so itâs not like you donât have HQ pressure already. Leela is still really good and she has the NBN effect where she just sometimes wins games without the other player being able to do anything about it.
I have a Faust Leela deck thatâs been doing pretty well in testing and I think it will be t1 once political operator comes out. Itâs already strong against rush and once it has a way to deal with a caprice/Ashe remote, I donât see how to stop it.
tldr: Leela is good and should be played more.
Gabeâs free money is a big deal. Leelaâs power is a big deal. I think Leela is better vs Astrobiotics, Gabe is probably better vs Glacier.
Leela is great, but best vs people who donât know how to handle her. I think trying the same list in Leela is ok, but you might need to find another econ card to replace the Gabe youâre taking out.
Yea, my Faust Leela deck (still a work in progress) runs security testing/bank jobs and usually ends up with silly amounts of money against anyone who plays assets which makes me think you can do without gabes ability. Not paying money to break stuff with Faust helps as well.
I love Gabe and he was my main runner up though most of spin cycle but I feel that criminals have so many good economic options now that you want your id to give you something you canât normally get. Of course, I need to test this in a more competitive environment beyond Jinteki.net and my playgroup.
Iâm testing out a Leela build for SC season. It isnât Faust, but it feels great to return to Leela. Her ability can be so oppressive. I disagree with those that claim Leela isnât as good versus experience opponents. The same can be said of any Runner ID with a dynamic ability. Leela controls the Corpâs play just as much versus a skilled opponent, in fact, probably more so than against someone who just ignores her ability or forgets about it. I am expecting a lot of Crisium this SC season, which makes me more loathe to play Gabe.
100% behind Easy Mark. Dropped the Gambles for then immediately after Worlds. Such a big deal when you are in debt to all the dealers.
Looks sweet. Iâd fit in some Drive Bys, I love that card. But yeah this is nice.
Leelaâs really good, but she canât support Drug Dealers nearly as much as Gabe or even Andy can. Gabe has the best shell for the 3 Dealer Faust deck.
How do you know what the meta will look like in the future? The Corps being played might have vastly changed (as with the cards they include), and there could be some mysterious card that makes some weird MaxX the nuts or something so everyone plays Crisium.
A bit more on topic, I think the Faust Gabe decks has lost a lot with the rise of Foodcoats and the way the meta has evolved. I loved the deck in the past, and @lpoulter and I both took Drug Dealer Gabe to top 8 at BABW back in that meta after testing it online (though he had no Faust in his list), it had an amazing matchup versus the rushy HB deck, Turtles, Butchershop (24/7 was far from out then), and wasnât too far worse than Kate vs Astrobiotics, and that was the entire top 8 field.
The bulkier, glacier-y decks are a lot harder for it to deal with, especially when theyâre packing Crisium Grids, 2 Caprices, rarely build unprotected remotes, and already need some bulky ICE to stop Faust in Noise (which is more required when youâre on a slower game). On top of that, the deck hasnât really got anything other than Dealer in a very long time (thanks Criminal), whereas Food (and the decks itâs good in) is arguably worse for Criminal than any other faction. The way the meta has changed has not been kind to this deck.
Gabe bucks paying for drugs is what makes this archetype work. I think you lose a lot if you change IDs.
Foodcoats can feel like a rough matchup, but with some modifications I donât think itâs that bad. It requires judicious play, but when I ran Faust Gabe at Worlds Foodcoats wasnât an issue. However, I was running a version that had Mimic and Yog.0 which helped with Architect and Turing, respectively. Toss an E3 in there and you can handle a lot of what they throw at you. A big part of it is that you can often make enough money to contest an Ash remote.
EDIT: Also Drive By is possibly at its best against HB Foodcoats. I love it.
How should Foodcoats play against Faust Gabe? I thought Gabe had decent game versus Foodcoats, but my opponents could just have been playing the deck wrong. I also played Foodcoats versus Faust Gabe, and I thought I had a hard time against it. Any tips?
Foodcoats can turtle up real easy against Criminal, and once they do itâs practically game over. Faust is awful against most of their ICE and once they get free Campaigns thanks to all the Breaker Bays, econ denial doesnât do anything either. I love the Gabe deck to bits, but against someone who really knows Foodcoats inside out, it has no game.
We appear to be heading back to the - I can build Crim to beat NEH and I can build Crim to beat Glacier, but Iâll be damned if I can manage both.
I think @vinegarymink said that you build your deck to beat what you think will be dominant in the metagame and savagely outplay the players of the decks you havenât built for. Easy.
I can only really think of the strealth suite for this purpose. Are there other ones Iâm missing?
Rebirth Iain starting as Andy with logos. The excitement is real.
Yeah, itâs a shame weâll only have Rebirth Andy for a little bit before she gets cycled out.
