What's up with Criminal?

Is link relevant yet. All these huge traces are making Compromised Employees seem not terrible. Am I crazy :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t Google this. At least not at work.

No. You’re not crazy. Comp Employee was decent before. Nordrunner had a decent Andy Supplier decks that used it called President & CEO that managed to get a lot of mileage from it.

What? You don’t want to play an icebreaker than can only break 23% of all of the ice in the game?

(Ironically, this is the same percentage as Corroder.)

Yeah, but Corroder is actually good at breaking its ice.

In all seriousness though, you basically have to run Datasucker in Criminal anymore, especially without access to D4v1d.

I believe the expression is, “it’s so crazy, it just might work.”

The real gutpunch here for Gingerbread is that Archangel requires two boosts, which is just…

If you’re gonna be this niche, at least be the best in your niche, right?

Snoop in the list as the Archangel proxy (so all the dangerICE tracers are together in one table). How much better would Gingerbread be if it were, say, average break cost 2.5 or something? I think it might see play at that. As it is, I think I’d rather play Garrote and eat the extra 5c in exchange for it working against all sentries :).

Big Breaker Crim it is: Torch, Garrote, Corroder.

If triggered on ambush, yes.

But it should just be 1 sucker counter and 3 credits if Archangel is rezzed, which isn’t terrible. But at the same time you’re playing Gingerbread so…

But then it’s still only one credit cheaper to break than to rez. Even if you’re using the specialized tools, that card still is as good as Wall of Static. The only time I think you feel ok about running through Archangel is if you’re running a very suckery Parasucker setup, or you’re running Torch or CyCy

Just wanted to drop in an post this here: Anything for a Buck - 28th, 5-3 Worlds 2015 ¡ NetrunnerDB

Came 28th with Faust Gabe and EFT Foodcoats. I got the Gabe inspiration form here, so I thought I’d report in. Faust solves a lot of problems. Just sayin’. :stuck_out_tongue:

I took Ken to a very middling 4-4, although I felt I started strong and faded as the day wore on. I lost my second and third rounds with him by a single turn each time (7-6. 7-5). Then I started getting tired and stupid and flatlined turn 3 against NBN round 4. Don’t really remember many details from the second half of the day because I was pretty zombified, but he must’ve gone 3-1 after the break because both Ken and my Blue Sun ended 4-4. Strive for mediocrity!

Multithreader was the missing piece that Ken needed to be amazing. Multithreader and Security Testing are incredible together. Ken makes so much money that a Corroder/ZU.13/Shrike rig with two Multithreaders is practically unstoppable.

What’s your list?

I’m 99% sure this was what I was running, give or take a SOT/Legwork/Inside Job/Special Order:

Stupid Sexy Tenma

Ken “Express” Tenma: Disappeared Clone

Event (21)
3x Account Siphon
3x Dirty Laundry
1x Déjà Vu ••
2x Emergency Shutdown
1x Indexing •••
2x Inside Job
2x Legwork
2x Special Order
3x Sure Gamble
2x The Maker’s Eye ••••

Hardware (7)
3x Desperado
2x Plascrete Carapace
2x Prepaid VoicePAD

Resource (9)
2x Drug Dealer
1x Kati Jones
3x Same Old Thing
2x Security Testing
1x Symmetrical Visage

Icebreaker (7)
1x Breach
1x Corroder ••
2x Faerie
1x GS Shrike M2 ••
1x Passport
1x ZU.13 Key Master ••

Program (2)
2x Multithreader ••

17 influence spent (max 17)
46 cards (min 45)

Overall I’d say I let the deck down more than it let me down. Only one of my eight games did I feel like I lost because Ken didn’t give me what I needed.

I’m looking forward to seeing @selverin’s Kenma deck. He ended up 26th.

i’ve been considering this with Geist. it’s a lot of influence, but it’s really solid at making a lot of awkward things work

Found it on NRDB.

It seems fine? I’ve never been a huge fan of Prepaid in criminal, but 20 valid targets is hard to argue with.

Interesting. It doesn’t seem like anything special, but he is a strong player/builder. I’ll have to give it a shot.
