Why does this make Crash Space better?
I donāt know how I would get the money to use actual breakers in Faust Gabe. Breaking for free is the whole point of the deck. Crims that spend money to break ICE get rolled by foodcoats. You have to transition to money-less breaking to have a shot. That means either Faust or Stealth.
While 24/7 and SEA-Scorch can kill through Crash Space a little more easily than through Plascrete, Midseasons is able to kill through Crash Space much more easily than Plascrete because youāre more likely to have more tags than you can clear on one turn.
If the difference is narrow enough, then the extra utility of Crash Space makes it better than Plascrete. (Also: Crash Space helps against Data Raven, Plascrete doesnāt.)
EDIT: Iām by no means saying that itās RIGHT to be playing Crash Space over Plascrete, much less all the time, just that Iām trying it out because it makes sense in the current meta. (Also SYNC. Bah, SYNC.)
Iām playing a toolbox Leela with an Atman right now. Weyland just folds to Atman 6, itās really unfair.
Thereās no room in the Corp killshot turn to trash Crash Space. āSEA Source / trash CS / Scorchā doesnāt kill you (provided you kept your hand size up). ā24/7 / trash CS / Scorchā doesnāt either. Youāre hosed against Midseason, though. Closed Accounts could make SEA or 24/7 iffy, too, but usually those decks are all-in on the Scorch in my experience. I think itās a calculated meta call. (But I run Plascrete myself. :p)
The real downside to CS over Plascrete is that killing through a Plascrete requires Runner to be less than max handsize, and two scorches, while killing through CS requires Runner to be less than max handsize, and one scorch and two credits. One less card makes it easier to do, as long as your hand size is down. I hear Drug Dealers help with that though.
So how are people doing with post-MWL crim? Iāve been modifying that Gabe/Faust/Drug Dealer deck with -1 parasite -1 desperado (donāt have 3 cores anyway).
I donāt play criminal, but Iāve seen a lot of Gang Sign leela out there.
I play Endless Waltz cutting 1 RDI and 1 yog and still keeping 3 Desperado.Canāt have 3 RDI is pain in the ass,and you will know how suck you are when you have to use Peacock.Otherwise Leela still performs well.
This is what Iām testing at the moment, though it will need to be adjusted as the new meta works itself out.
Next on my list to test is Drug Dealer, but Iām mostly playing other decks.

This should be the official flavor text for Peacock.
Am currently playing my stealth Andy, cut one cloak to go down to 2 cloaks (I run 3 ghost runner, and since refractor is more or less turned on with just 1 stealth cred, and still quite strong before that, itās not so bad), and cut the feedback filter I had in there to be able to keep my 3 desperados. So far in testing it seems about as good/bad v NEH as it did before, which means you need to mull for the right hand, be aggressive, trash assets, and still a bit of luck, which is fine, and the deck still crushes a lot of other decks, RP, any weird surprise decks with big sentries etc. Threw in a second inside job to get around giant barriers and to be able to more easily get around early gear checks when facing NEH. But until thereās a bit of time for things to settle down Iām not sure whether the second inside job should just be a drive by for example, or an emergency shutdown. I might also need to put a second plascrete depending on what we see in the coming couple of months. Anyway deck seems to be fine so far.
Still rocking Faust Gabe. I cut Parasite and Clone Chip from my list because I canāt spare the influence with Desperado on the NAPD MWL. In theory thatās a big hit, because Parasite allows you to lean on Faust more, but with Architect and Eli not being splashed practically everywhere, Iām hoping not to feel the pinch so much. Iām not sure what to do with the 3 influence that left behind. Currently Iāve put in 1x Modded, for the same reason Easy Mark is in the deck ā itās useful to be able to do stuff at 0 credits. That could be another RDI, but so far Iāve appreciated the flexibility of Modded. Needs more testing. The last point Iāve currently got in a Film Critic for the Jinteki and NBN matchups, as Midseason protection and a way to get around PEās ability (and, in one game, a way to stay out of Philotic range until I had the game). But Iāve contemplated a Stimhack, a Utopia Shard, and even an Employee Strike. I donāt know which way is best.
I hope to get some games in this week against an NEH Fastro list so I can see how it does, since thatās the matchup Iām most scared about right now in the post-MWL meta.
Wow,1 Breach freeing up 2 inf for 3rd RDI,I didnāt thought about this, got to try it out.
Just wait until you draw it and realize that you never, ever want to install nor use it.
Itās ok I guess, but itās a depressing card to have in your hand, I always find.
But it can be used to give Faust +2 strength, so its not all bad.
At best it sets Wraparound to 0
Cheeky. I like it. But now that I think about it, I have put Atman in pretty much every deck post MWL (havenāt played much crim), and itās pulled its weight every game I have played it.
Iāve built a Security Nexus Andy deck since sheās got that 1 link going for her. It is not Tier 1 sadly.
I thought about this a while ago, and a local player came to a league night a couple times with one, but I donāt know about it. You get the Andy start, but you have to run some kind of different economy without Desperado which ends up being lackluster. You get (essentially) 3 more link cards with Power Tap, which makes me want to go with a Supplier Build, Problem being that you just combined two of the slowest decks ever, meaning you lose to NEH every time. Might not be half bad post MWL.
