Not used to Kim, but the VBG is critical for 2 two things:
1:Darwin- cutting your down time in half basically.
2:Medium/Nerve Agent- Make a run and do something else, if they dont purge your checking 5 cards next turn, if they do, well they just purged for a whole counter and you can do the same next turn.
That seems like a lot cheaper than spending money on medium runs.
3:Hivemind/Progenitus- I am really not counting this because are you REALLY gonna set up this 15 card combo?
Itās 5 clicks (Parasite gets a token, and Iām not taking a BD to pull this off), and sometimes, thatās a hell of a lot of a better idea than paying 4 for the rest of the goddamn game.

Iām going on a Eli knifing quest. Itās imperative that we teach corp players that Eli is a narrow Criminal hate card that isnāt an automatic 3 of. If we leave a trail of robot child corpses in our wake then all the better. Also 5 clicks to kill eli isnāt a terrible deal.

Paying 4 the rest of the xxx game isnāt the question. My statement is that a deck designed to use vbg to power parasite will fail. Whereas I contend that using vbg to power hivemind et.al (see previous quote) can succeed.

so thats- at a minimum 4clicks of draw 8 creds worth of install. And then on top of that 3 clicks to destroy eli using vbg. Something it took the corp one click and 3 cr to install.
As opposed to datasucker, incubator, hivemind or letting it die over time.
You are, more or less, using a click to generate 1 cr. Putting the virus counter on parasite is really low on the option of good things to do for anarchā¦ You get one use of the tokens.
Putting the tokens on hivemind and then parasiting at the minimum is 2x as effective - because at the very least you will cost the corp 3 clicks on a purge. On better case scenarious you may be able to use the tokens multiple times
Darwin, when you break an ice.
Gorman when you cash it in.
Medium, on a medium run.
chakana to prevent/delay a score.
Perhaps even pheromes, if the virus tokens survive to the start of your next turn they convert to recurring credits.
Parasite, using hivemind tokens to power ice destruction.
In none of these cases do you consume the tokens allowing them to be used mutliple times in a turn.

I will be running the version I posted eons ago (with SMCās, Gordian Blade and Sneakdoor Beta). I really need to see how the econ works out. I might find room for one Ice Carver or I might just try to find the optimal inclusion of runner econ cards. Iāll be testing tonight.
The discussion was over the second you started tediously arguing against a position I didnāt take in the first place. Since you did it in classic Straw Man style, I assumed you werenāt actually interested in having a discussion.
The whole point of āa nice-to-have optionā like the one I originally mentioned was that you donāt build your deck to make it happen that way, itās just a way of the cards coming together in a fashion that makes it useful, and not actually too horrible. You arguing against this line of analysis in a way as it were the primary plan is, well, Strawman and Syntax.

Besides all of the above - have you seriously never ran archives for Datasucker tokens to burn down an Eli early? Bar multiple 'Suckers (and assuming no ice), thatās just as click (in)efficient as VBG.

Ran Eddy Kim at Leisure Games London. Came 3rd of about 35, 9-3 after Swiss. Lost 7-6 to astrobiotics in round 1. Beat BS with at least punitives in losers round 1. Beat the same NEH in the losers bracket. 2-1 in elimination. Got knocked out when my corp vomited agendas against Gabe. Will write up properly after sleep. Heās good.

Legwork+Nerve Agent seems a bit much (especially with really high base HQ pressure from your abillity, and Wanton in faction) Zona Sul also seems a bit odd. Also, why no Day Job?
Archives interface can be dead. It really depends. VBG seems fine in darwin, but honestly you could take out the darwin+support cards and just run a ānormalā rig+Djinn or Memstrips.
How has inside job been treating you?

inside job however has been key. that and legwork arenāt going anywhere. e3/darwin and iām left with 1 influence, which is the only reason i landed on zona sul. humanityās criminal.
when day job was in it slowed things down in a deck that already might not be aggressive enough. may try again.

Darwin decks just arenāt really aggressive off the bat. I can respect the list, but Kim seems odd for it (other than being Impless). If being too slow was the problem, then Darwin is the cause of that way more than Day Job.
Also, Daily casts is way slower than Day Job, and doesnāt synergize with Pre-Paid. (and has a worse payoff, and is vulnerable to tagsā¦)
Honestly the cards that Iād almost reflexively look at for one influence are the Source shards, Quality Time, or Express Delivery. (Pre-paid especially takes the sting off of QT) Zona is just quite vulnerable (eat a Snare! or a breaking news and bang, itās gone) and seems low payout.
Iād actually encourage you to switch the Legworks for Wantons, and just see how it feels.

Sorta? From a synergy perspective, youāre exactly right. From my experience though, Kim already puts them in that position, and Wanton is just plain good, no matter what the textbox in your ID says. Itās just a button labeled āskip turn, fuck up corp plans, whatever they areā

As I said earlier, yesterday I took 3rd in a 30-some player 6 rounds of Swiss + top 8 double elimination tournament at Leisure Games London. Eddy went 4-2 in Swiss, 2-1 in double elimination. The deck is basically Good Stuff Anarch. My influence was Atman, 2 Desperado, 2 Clone Chips and 1 Special Order.
Anarch have draw now, which I think makes them consistent enough. You still have to make it up as you go along in the early game. I think itās important to remember youāre an anarch, so take the lines that the corp gives you and punish them where you can. By the end game you can get anywhere for not too much cash, but you have to stop the corp winning by causing chaos where you can until youāre set up.
I felt completely out of 1 game against Blue Sun (Hostile Takeover + Archer opening hand that I couldnāt answer) but other than that I was at 6 points with accesses after my 6th point in both my other losses.
Eddy is hugely disruptive against any of the combo decks. Is good pressure on HQ and makes Medium Lock even more upsetting.
Nerve Agent is definitely right for him. Maybe it should be a 2 of.
Killing Hedge Fund is much bigger than it seems. Hedge Fund is a good card!
In the 3rd-4th place match, I killed 3 Eli 1.0 with Knifed (2 deja Knife). Felt really really good.
I wonder if the disruption from killing the operations slows the game down enough to make Djinn and then 1 each of the viruses (Nerve Agent/Medium/Imp/2 datasucker) correct. Might be better. Maybe add 1 Crypsis to have cheeky scores behind 1 ICE checked. Worth testing I think.
