I’m thinking something more of a ticking time bomb, like Public Support for meat damage.
How about an ice that is something like
4 rez
2 str.
Sentry
- do 1 meat damage
- do 1 meat damage
If the runner uses an icebreaker to break a sub on [ice] end the run?
Just popped into my head as a could be fun when broken effect.
Agree, any meat damage cards that requires 2+ tags is a yellow card.
A proper Weyland card might require a single tag, but you have to be creative if you need more restrictions.
Maybe a card that sacs 5 agenda points? Gives you an alternate win condition if you manage to rush to 5 and then find yourself unable to score the last points with all the bad pub you gave up to get there.
I love that card, but it would absolutely need to be Weyland only. It would be good already in Weyland, but absolutely ridiculously broken in NBN even at 5 inf.
Did negotiator have 3 subs for 4 creds at one point? That completely passed me by. That would have been gross. Weyland really need some gross cards.
You could make it an agenda with “click, forfeit: if the runner is tagged, deal $HUGE_NUMBER meat damage.”
Maybe that new NBN Turntable operation will bolster Weyland. It seems good in concept: score early Hostiles and swap them into stolen 2 or 3 pointers. Ideally it doesn’t require a tag and isn’t prohibitive, influence wise. I have a feeling it will be; bummer since it is good in HB too. God forbid other factions be able to play the powerful NBN cards…
It does require a tag.
Even cards that involve sacrificing agendas feel like they’re better in NBN to me since NBN can rush faster than Weyland can with Astro, Beale, Breaking News, and now 15 Minutes.
Maybe making it an agenda is the right way of doing things, but it’d have to be pretty hard to score if it’s a game-ender and that might be too much like Government Takeover.
I would like giving Weyland a 2/0 or 1/0 Agenda. Serves as Archer and Corporate Town fodder, and ideally has some other effect to make it worth playing (remove a bad pub?).
It definitely requires a tag – you can see that in the spoiler. Influence who knows, but it’ll probably be high to prevent Government Takeover fun.
*Equaliser - 3c
Asset - Hostile - 3 inf (possibly 4)
Equaliser can be advanced. While Equaliser has 2 or more advancement tokens it gains:
Click, trash: Do meat damage equal to the number of additional agenda points in the runners score area as opposed to the corps’.
3 trash.
I also really wish ronin was 3 inf.
Yeah I couldn’t remember from the spoiler; thanks. That’s a huge bummer.
Weyland really just needs more ways to tag people. Sure, NBN has the whole “Big Brother” thing going on flavour-wise, but there’s more than one way to land a tag.
Jinteki does it by reading your mind and catching you in traps.
HB does it by having their ice hunt you down on the 'net.
NBN does it by watching everything. All the media.
Weyland should do it by hiring someone to follow you home, a la Contract Killer but more for the set-up. Maybe an operation requiring a successful run (in which at least one card was accessed?) that gives the choice between a tag and two meat damage, like the Argus thing? The runner will always take what they think is least punishing, but both options can be risky when dealing with Weyland. The “safe” choice in most cases is 4 meat and a tag, in that order, but that still leaves your position pretty wrecked for a turn or two, giving Big W a scoring window so long as they have the money left.
It can also flush out the bane of Weyland player everywhere, I’ve Had Worse.
I think there is some flavor there for something that interacts with resources. Something like “Asset-John Pinkerton: As an additional cost to install resources the runner must take one tag.”
I’d possibly change it to being an additional cost to trashing cards in remote servers (to prevent overbearing pressure with Housekeeping, and to protect itself/Ash/Caprice more effectively), but either way the idea is neat.

[/quote]That too, yeah.
I’ve gone off Weyland again having played a couple of decks tonight. It’s like playing Netrunner on super-hard mode!
This. 5/3 Agenda, forfeit it to do 15 Meat damage if the Runner has 3+ tags.
I brought it up earlier in the thread and got the same response,. The answer to “better in Yellow” is make sure Yellow can’t have it.
I was talking to a friend about this recently, and I think it would be nice to see some strong upgrades to help Weyland out, theirs are so weak at protecting. What about something like an Ash for Weyland, that’s 2 to rez and 4 to trash, with the text “The runner can choose to only access this card on this run. If the runner chooses to access other cards on this run, they take 3 meat damage. This effect applies during the run in which they trash this card”.
change it to 6 and then lets talk.
the reason ash and caprice win games is that they can actually stop people from accessing agendas they know are there. this, well, it wouldn’t.
How about i got a rock has the alliance keyword?
Or something like:
Hardboiled PI
When you rez hpi, put 3 power counters to hpi.
When your turn begins remove 1 power counter.
If there are no counters on hpi, remove it and give the runner 1 tag (cannot be prevented)
