If you have a large sized deck, but have Rachel giving you and extra click that you use for wyldside that would be kind of cool
OK, time to share mine I guess.
This is what I’ve come to after iterating quite a bit, it’s particularly suited to my Anarch-fried brain. I play her much like @spags described a couple posts back - focusing on one central heavily, keeping the tricks at hand.
Please note that the list is pre-Source - once it hits our shores, I’m considering dropping Li for three copies of the Hotel. Problem is, Li tends to help with those inconsistent shuffles where you don’t get any econ for 20 cards without having to discard (much). Hotel doesn’t. Will test.

Random comments:
- Wha? Datasucker and no Parasite? - yeah, Suckers are there because every non-Mimic killer blows my mind with its suckiness, and to get through Elis for 2.
- Wha? 2 RDI and 2 TME? - I tend to be really bad at randomly pulling agendas out of RnD, so seeing 4-5 tends to help with that

- No Lucky Find - Ended up dropping them to fit in all the RnD goodness, not regretting. I keep feeling like the deck wants 2 more econ cards (and they’d probably be the third Laundry and the third Bank Job), but I can’t find anything good to pull. I tried going down to 2 Kati but that turned out to be a mistake, it broke how the deck wants to set up for the first agenda score.
- No Sneakdoor - I find Suckers a better use of MU, and an equivalent Archives threat. Shutdown’s in only twice and HQIs got swapped to Legworks, so the Sneakdoor removal seems to make sense. Definitely liking the deck better without it.
- Rex - that mofo is positively badass. Love him to bits. Went down to 2 copies to get more econ, occasionally games turn out to be close because of it though. Never ever discard your second copy, even if you get both early (like, pre-Li)
With TME, what about SOT?
Love to, but what do I cut? And will the SoT be better than more econ in those slots?
(nope, not the second carapace)
For what it’s worth, the games I’ve played where I didn’t win off the second TME (finding it usually isn’t that hard with Li), it was over before I could have gotten my shit together for a third, 2-click attempt.
Rex + Passport is solid gold, Jerry! FWIW I’m playing 2x DS 0x Parasite / Sneakdoor too, though I’ve considered the Sneakdoor. Again, Mimic is happydance!

If I were to Get Serious, I would find a way to find Plascrete in there, because while it may be a crutch, it’s a really helpful one. That 1-pip Feedback Filter is a la mode at the moment. Playing one everywhere just to see how it fits.
Leela doesn’t really need FF, Ronin is the saddest panda against her
Seeing as you are Euro meta (right?), I should defer all FF insight to you, but:
There are plenty of ways to die to PE besides Ronin. Often FF is a great late-game tool for RND digs, as I’m sure you know. I think it’s worth 1 influence in nearly every Criminal deck right now, and likely many Anarch, too. Leela definitely has a good PE match-up, but another tool versus them doesn’t hurt, and 1 influence is easy to swallow, especially if you find yourself at 14.
Yeah, there are. In my experience, here’s a complete list:
- Ronin after a Steal/Snare
- Double Ronin
- Random RnD damage (Fetal/Snare) in combination with a scored HoK and/or Neural EMP
- Facechecked MNS-ed Overwriter plus anything else, really
- Attrition (empty deck), usually in combination/caused with previous elements of this list
- Scorch after a Snare tag
- Pilot error (miscalc where ICE is concerned), whether of the “utter stupidity” variety, or of the “blind luck/misfortune” variety where you either lose a critical breaker, or you can’t find one in piece and end up running naked through Yaguras and such
If you take a look at the checklist, Leela gives you a decent out of 1,2,4 at the very least. If I found myself at 14 inf, I’d be looking at Utopia Shard long before FF here. It has a chance of handling 3 and 6, exhibits some degree of synergy with Shutdown in the PE matchup (for when your Sec Testings are not there and you need to shut something down without actually accessing cards in their HQ), and is actually useful in other matchups as well.
I’ve had FF in that particular Leela list, and it was always a dead card, even during Killteki matchups. The one time I actually used it was to trololololo through a Janus. Nice, sure, but not worth the slot/inf that is the second Datasucker.
Folks FF has meant Femme Fatale since day one and now you are blowing my mind
Is feedback filter really dead, especially against Jinteki? You don’t need to pay for it to have an impact against the corp, cause you don’t really want to have to waste a ronin on a rich runner, and there’s always a small amount of net damage a runner is willing to take. Maybe Leela never runs enough to make that a huge threat though.
I felt like @Cerberus’ list was too run focused. Security Testing, Dirty Laundry… all of these cards will cause the corp to rez ICE. Isn’t that counter-productive?
Not a complete list.
8: Running figuring that 3 cards is enough… if he HOK’s you just abort the RND access. And then you hit a Kitsune…
9: Running archives. Finding those 3 x Shock and Hosukai Net.
10: Labrythine cell portal with either gyro, or komainu or … Maybe placed there by Midori.
11. Death via hand shrinkage via Hiro and/or the corp overwriting MHC.
12. Susano into #9.
13. ITD boosting Komainu/x/y/z out of breaker range.
14. Running into a snare with DSF. or three.
Like I said, it’s only there in that list because I’m running one everywhere at the moment. Utopia Shard is totes better :).
Fair enough list. I personally don’t think I’ve been hit with a Ronin yet with my Leela. I think it’s easy enough to steal an agenda and bounce a two-advanced remote; the Corp also cannot safely score while they are advancing up a Ronin, lest it get bounced and they click compress themselves. In criminal, I tend to use FF to allow me to be more aggressive than I normally would be able to. With SecTest it lets you check all remotes late game, but in a Leela build without SecTest, I think FF is valuable for allowing extra RND/HQ aggression. If you lose to a double Ronin, IMO you misplayed somewhere. Actually, if you lose to Ronin period, you misplayed. Both #1 and #2 are almost always avoidable, and even more so with FF!
I believe you should be running as Leela, you still want to be applying pressure. However you want to be selective about where you apply it.
Security Testing forces archives rezzing and gives money against for asset spam.
The early game ice being rezzed isn’t bad, you are going to want your breakers out eventually anyway. It is often more important to bounce the second ice to allow your multi access.
Listing 7 specific versions of my “utter stupidity” point doesn’t make my list incomplete, you know.
Only with hindsight and armchair engineering. Playing other identities, there were plenty of times where I didn’t have an Infiltration (even though I was running two) and had to guess whether that MNSed card was Overwriter or Ronin. If you guess wrong, you lose. Misplays? Avoidable? I don’t think so.
Items #10-14 are no more stupidity than having take a guess on a mushi.
wrong thread for this discussion, but all you need to survive a mushin’d (potential) ronin is 3 cards in hand at end of turn. if they already have a 3 advanced on the board, you’re still fine. regardless, leela is especially good at not getting double ronin’d.
it should be noted that i’m talking about leela in general, not any specific list. not even just leela; PE can’t kill anyone with 2 triple advanced ronins alone on the next turn, as long as they end with 3 cards in hand.
Which is exactly why I double down and advance my overwriters after I mushin them.
Advance, Ronin, EMP
