You were missed at worlds, man.
Hope in one year I will have enough playmats to pay for flight tickets^^
Something that hasn’t been mentioned yet is that Anarch is getting an influenceless hybrid of Quality Time and Wyldside: Earthrise Hotel. I could definitely see running that in place of Wyldside.
Yeah, that’s what I was talking about at the end of my decklist post. I’m definitely going to test it. I think Quality Time is better, but gaining the influence might be worth it.
Earthrise is a tough one to evaluate but personally, as a big QT fan, I think the card is really good and can be slotted in most Anarch and Criminal decks as well as help to enable all kinds of cool combo decks in either. I think it’s almost but not quite as good as Quality Time in most decks, and close enough that you should consider playing it anywhere you thought about splashing QT. I consider it to be almost a strict upgrade to Wyldside. Unfortunately, you don’t get to Pawn it, but I think the fact that it doesn’t eat a click is a totally reasonable tradeoff. 3 Inject 2 Quality Time 2 Earthrise seems like it could be an awesome draw setup. Now we only need to figure out what to cut!
I think it’s a good replacement. The cost is steep, but you can use it for 2 Diesel like effects and then Aesop it.
About 3 months ago, Verbal and I had significant argument, I on the side preferring scavenge to clone chip, solely on the enhanced ability to recur D4v1d.
I think the argument has only grown stronger on the side of scavenge.
But I have been loving Inject into Duggars, rather than wyldside. Removes the common issue of having an overdrawn hand and no way to resolve. I deck my hand very quickly, looking only for economy, hand size, then Levy.
Scavenge vs Clone chip is pretty damn close, I think, but I prefer Clone Chip not only because you can instant speed things, (not just Parasite but Medium or Nerve or Imp right before you succeed on a run) but because of the ability to Pawn away something rather than use it to Scavenge, (most of the things cost less than 3). I think in lists with Wyldside the ability to Pawn is possibly less important because you have so many cards available to Pawn anyway, but in the lists without it I definitely prefer Clone Chip.
Games I play with noise, the problem isn’t a lack of Aesop’s targets - its too many, hence why I prefer scavenge.
Aesops you’re limited to one per turn. Since I am using duggars I am usually installing more than one per turn, and on duggars turns, I am typically mass installing. So this leads me to a variety of wiped out ds/cache/imps that scavenge allows me to use now, and aesop’s requires a wait…
scavenge vs. clone chip has to come down to a meta thing. If you’re facing a lot of scary face-check ice clone chip will always be better since it can save your ass. scavenge is superior in terms of economy.
i guess i can see inject with noise as you’re likely playing deja vu (and perhaps clone chip) anyways but one of my issues with it is that the card is essentially a 2 card cost as there is significant pressure to recur what’s lost.
I would stick with wyldside and/or QT as noise isn’t struggling to afford QT these days anyways.
Maybe trope will make duggars more palatable.
I think with Incubator and Hivemind on the horizon, Clone Chip wins out for me, because it allows instant-speed Parasite kills of big ice, which ought to be a pretty doable thing in the near future.
Grimoire out and Incubator at 2 on their turn, play Hivemind, crack incubator, play Parasite (or just run if it’s already in heap). Parasite each ice in the way of your run, if it’s 6 STR or lower it dies immediately. If you have a Medium, even one that was blank before, then you’re accessing 6 cards deep through 3 pieces of reasonably sized ice for 9 credits, leaving them without defences.
Not an always-thing, but definitely edges me in favor of Clone Chip just for the opportunity.
I think typically I’m aggressive in scouting ice so ‘scary’ is only bad insofar as having an answer for the ice or not. The more aggressive I am with my deck, the less I need visible bail out cards in play. I think ultimately it is a preference thing right now. Each has some great upsides.
I went and played some games against NEH with the Inject/Clone Chip package. Apart from the time it ditched two Cache into my heap, it was totally great, and Clone Chip is fantastic in Noise.
Unfortunately, I was playing Spags NEH deck (link) and with only a singleton Mimic in the deck, three Architects just shuts you down. Parasite feels a waste on Quandry (but there’s no time for Crypsis, if that’s even a sensible solution), and Wraparound is at least D4vid-able but still a pain. I’m pretty down about this matchup.
Is Hades Shard not worth 1 influence?
I’ve played few games with it, and it did not win any games (yet) to be honest. How does it go in your testings?
We actually didn’t test it, due to the need for QT and the fact that revealing it off an Inject spoils the surprise.
Well, for me, half of the point of the card is the opponent knowing that the card exists. If he KNOWS I have it in hand, even better. At what point does he activate the Jackson?
The only problem I see with it is the 7 creds cost. That’s quite a lot, unless you are already #winning.
I see it as a real important card against glaciers, who in theory could lock down your access to centrals.
Has anyone been having fun with autoscripter? Atm I’m playing Noise with influence spent on 2x autoscripter, 3x cache and 3x aesop. Loads of fun when you can get all the pieces together.
I expect the deck to become a bit better when the spoiled hotel card is released.
If you have extra influence and feel lack of credits in Noise you probably should play Lucky Find in this slot.
Autoscripter will net you +5 credits only after you install 4 cards, (which are not viruses btw).
Second copy is useless, and if you do not draw first one early both copies are not very good, in other words dead draws.
Lucky Find is more reliable because it does not need any specific cards to be played.
Autoscripter gives you a click the first time you install a program each turn, are you thinking about a different card?
