Yeah, but then we’re trying to pack 3 more draw cards in here. At least Hotel frees up QT influence for something else, even if it is more expensive. DAY JOB WHERE R U.
Word. Amen, brother.

While playing recently with my noise I’ve paid attention to how much would the new clickless wyldside be better than playing wyldside. Practically every single time. With Injects, these are going to be auto include over Wyldsides I think.
Agree 100%. Quality Time was already a lot better than Wyldside if you were willing to cough up the inf, IMO. Now, you have another 0 influence option. 2-3 Earthrise 2 Quality Time 3 Inject would be totally reasonable. Or just 3 Earthrise.
I will stick with Earthrise and Injects.
Need that influence for clone chips. With Inject I want to have as many as humanly possible.
I’ve even cut out Hades, since I’ve never ever played it in any of the games - even after I’ve drawn it.
A Hades drawn late is a sort of hail mary play (last click before you think you’re about to lose, drop it for 7 and use it), and a way to make the corp waste Jacksons pre-emptively by clicking to go up to 7 credits and cackling evilly.
I placed first at a store tournament last weekend with Noise and RP (twenty players). Two of my runner games were won very early by Hades Shard after the habitual Jackson draw and discard. One game it was even on the table when my turn started. Another game I used Inject to get up to 7 credits to disguise what I was about to do. The worst part about it is that you have to be sure you’re not going to trigger some sort of timing dispute (“I was just about to Jackson but you didn’t give me chance!”). So you have to count to 5 or something mentally. This is really clunky in my opinion, and it’s going to cause rows in big tournaments. I tried to be a gentleman about it, and my opponents were very gracious, but I was worried and tried to be as by-the-book as possible while not giving the play away.
People are not used to playing around it, and it wins games. At higher levels people will play around it, but I’d love it if my opponents played around a singleton card I have buried in my deck somewhere.
Utopia Shard fills out the influence, and adds much needed HQ pressure to Noise, and trashes yet more stuff. It’s like running HQ twice and Imping two cards. It can disrupt kill-combos, or snipe agendas if they play out a lot of cards at once.
Totally worth dropping a Clone Chip for two Shards.
Yes, really looking forward to Earthrise myself. Since inject I noticed I started turning wyldside off more library. Saving those 3 clicks is probably better than getting the 3 credits back from selling
I really like the spending my influence on clone chips. Having two out on the table just puts on so much pressure by itself. Hades is good, but I don’t like to play it. Mainly because the timing is a hassle and the 7 credit waiting around game…
No timing dispute if it’s your turn, aside from possibly the install itself. You can follow up a click immediately with your own action, without giving them a chance to respond.
That’s after you play it. The corp can use Jackson before your turn starts, or between any of your clicks. How long do you give them to use Jackson before playing and trigger the Shard from hand?
Should you be asking ‘do you want to do anything?’ after every click and series of paid abilities you trigger on your turn?
(This is much like pulling Deus Ex out of the heap with a Clone Chip after a Ronin is armed but before it is fired, for example.)
Yeah goodanalogy.
Think I’m going to get into the habit any time a non click card is played of asking for a hold for a second so I can think about the implications.
Our renowned speedy RP player will be thrilled at that. Maybe you should use a chess clock…
Well, you have an explicit window there, after they rez it, at least.
That’s true!
clicking to go up to 7 credits and cackling evilly.
That’s a nice play but to have it available it’s enough to use Noise, no need to actually have Hades Shard in your deck
2 hades shards? JUDGE!
one time I Utopia Shard --> Deja Vu --> Utopia Shard --> Hades Shard for the win.
but it was with Queztal Hemoganger ;D

Was supposed to have +1 Stimhack, and +1 Blackmail as well, but forgot to bring those two cards… So I subbed in the 2 Daily Casts while on the way to tourney.
Since I wanted to have the freedom of 4 clicks, I removed the usual Wyldside in favour of surprise Siphon Vamps. The Siphon into Vamp is pretty great as a power turn against glacier decks, and quite useful against Fast Advance decks. HQ usually isn’t super guarded against noise if the effort is made on pressuring the R&D, remotes, and archives. I played against Blue Sun, HBFA, Tennin Glacier, and HB Glacier (red coats), while only losing to Blue Sun. I was the only player not flatlined by the Blue Sun that day, and he used Biotic Labor to score out his last 2 points. During the additional games in double eliminations, I got to run against the same Blue Sun player, and won with using Lampreys and a Medium after being Midseason’d…
Most of the time the deck should play like a normal Noise deck should. Personally I like being aggressive as a runner, so I facecheck/run every turn possible. Having Lampreys in the deck definitely helped being a nuisance to the corp when I have some economy denial events I could play. If everything is boarded up, Lampreys could still be a mill and pawned away for some credits.
The only thing I noticed with the deck, is that Inject has to be timed quite carefully in this version of Noise. I use it for digging out plascrete, Aesop’s, or any of the run events; or use it for some quick random cash when completely short on cash.
Currently I can’t wait to use cards from the rest of the Lunar Cycle, as the tourney only allowed cards up to “Up and Over”. I may add the anarch Cerebrus breaker to the deck, and maybe somehow fit in Incubators to better facilitated power turns. In addition, the deck might need a tad bit testing against NEH decks since I didn’t play against any in the tourney, but that’s also why the Mimic and econ denial cards were in the deck.
Bah, two different Shards! You know what I meant…
I was testing out Savoir-faire in a criminal stimhack deck and it got me thinking this would be pretty damn good in Noise. Midrun install on your turn, another one at the end of the corp’s turn, all click free.

It is - I league-played RomanoSoprano with a Savoir Noise deck - he was installing two things per turn, into Sherry, funded by Feeders, selling to Aesop. Pretty damn nasty!
