I’m inclined to agree, I don’t prefer the -1 clone chip change, but some do, because hades is very abuse-able (overworking jackson, and sniping when corps aren’t paying attention).
I don’t know if I’ve been flatlined with this build in quite a while, outside of net damage anyway.
In my experience Wyldside has not mainly been to feed Faust and Faust has not needed Wyldside to be good, Wyldside is to draw all the other cards. What makes Faust good (again, in my experience) in Noise(shop) is the remote lock (yes, I often feel I have it locked), resulting in the ultimate gamestate of pressuring all three centrals + remote.
Spreading the corp that thin is very strong and it is near impossible for the corp to protect everything. Since the remote is always at risk I don’t actually need to spend that many cards on Faust and with Sucker+Parasite as backup, wow.
I am more thinking if D4v1d is as necessary now, lately I’ve not used D4 much and the few times I have it has not been important just comfortable and the otehr cards could have handled it. Granted these games have not invloved much Blue Sun or any ITD decks, so to be safe D4 should maybe stay, but could one cut a D4?
Ok, so I think i prefer this draw package, peddler and inject put half my deck within reach so insanely quickly, its back to the old water mark of - if i’m 2/3 of the way through my deck, i should be winning. It’s been very consistent today in online testing.
I’ve not needed faust yet, i’m tempted even to swap out symvis for stimhack and replace faust with crypsis, to get extra work out of peddler. Symvis is currently a bit of a meh card but it helps for the times when it turns up before peddler/aesops.
Seems reasonable, I tied for first at a store champs with a version of noise that used the same draw package sans SymVis, that being just IHW and Inject. It wasn’t bad, just not my thing I guess. I prefer having access to mimic and corroder since people do run swordsman now, and corroder to help with wraparound (I hate relying on dave for that).
having 3 answers for wraparound, 2 of which stop blue sun from OAI bouncing curtain, and answer turing on the remote is just too strong, I will always be 1c/2dave
@TheBigBoy is a huge advocate of cutting both the Corroder and the Mimic. That thought makes me cringe, though, so I’m only going to cut one in my testing, and I think it’ll be the Corroder, keeping 2x D4v1d for Wraparound, Turing, etc.
That slot becomes either the second Scheherazade or the third Lamprey, I think. Possibly the second Medium. But this is pure Wyldcakes, no Inject or IHW. Which I suppose means that slot could also become a Plascrete. Installing that off Peddler after eating Traffic Accident would be hilarious.
Don’t you hate having to make those tough choices @Ajar? I’ve got 2 Schez, 3 Lamprey , AND 2 Medium. It’s great not eating up deck-space with trash isn’t it?
Right, right, almost forgot about Turing, not been much ETF lately. Yeah D4 gets to stay, played a tournament and all 5 games with Noise felt very good, so no real reason to change the deck actually.
If I’d cut a D4 it would be to fit a second Clot or Medium, but the slight upside of the second of any of those is probably not worth the lost utility against BS and ETF (and of course Wraparound) even though neither has been very common for me lately (allthough I suspect there will be a reasonable amount of ETF with Turing at “Nationals”)
I don’t think you want to cut mimic, architect is a bitch even with Faust. I think 1 copy of mimic and corroder is probably fine but I would play 2 d4vids and 2 Faust.
Im amazed (and a little intimidated) by how little econ your noise lists run (thats intended as a compliment). Although i guess now with faust money isnt the bottlekneck it was. Congrats on your results at nats!
Lol, I wish I could fit more econ in but I guess I’m used to clicking for credits because I’ve been playing noise since core. A lot of times I’ll install and click for 2 or 3. Faust helps a lot with the lack of econ. I think it comes down to cards slots. I’d rather have to click for credits than have unimpactful cards mid to late game.
I like the Pacer approach. I can see an argument for either money cards or efficient breakers, but including both waters down the deck too much. Maybe I’ll try cutting my gambles for Corroder and Mimic. Clearly it’s a proven formula.
To me, if you’re adding casts or DL or SG, you’re doing so to use your virus recursion less on cache and more on other things. other things better be more important than a mill and easy credits, by a lot. Ultimately thats the difference, since cache and viruses through Aesop’s are strictly all the money you need.
