Oh my dear lord yes. I’m going completely nuts over here at those spoilers. It’s basically everything I was asking for! And all the other things I didn’t think to ask for!
Is it just me or does Wraparound seem to be getting better these days with Fastro?
Also, has anyone tried Cyberdex trial? It would make using biotic to continue the astro train quite a bit cheaper against clot.
I don’t know if it’s really cheaper for the astro chain, as you’ve got to spend 4 credits and Biotic Labor to get the click, where as you only save 3 credits on the virus wipe.
I do use Cyberdex Trial in PsychoBeale. as you inherently have the spare click.
As for Wraparound, that was always solid. Cheap ETR barrier that is practically immune to Parasite and AI until a barrier breaker drops, at which point other barriers would be nigh worthless anyway? Yes please.
Wraparound was always a good ice. Anarchs who tend to play with Faust still have D4V1D for it, so the efficiency of Wraparound is pretty much the same.
Regarding Cyberdex Trial, I tried it and went back to the Cyberdex Virus Suite, since it is more versatile as you can install it upfront to compress clicks and use it to purge in the opponents run, Medium and Datasucker are prime targets there.
I was also thinking about a horizontal NBN deck with little ICE, but then realized that Apex and Apocalypse will be a thing.
It doesn’t seem like there’s a Haarpsichord thread around, however I played it for the first time this evening and it seemed incredibly strong. I was running a list with Kitsune and Mushin no Shin, and would very much reccomend Kitsune with the ID. Strictly better than a shell game. Either way I’d love to know peoples thoughts on the new ID; I thinnk it could be incredibly powerful (film critic or not).
There was a time way before the three IDs were spoiled in D&D that someone speculated one of NBNs IDs would be the ability to place ICE anywhere ignoring the install cost once per turn. It’s silly in perspective but I thought about it for a bit.
Too bad Sunset is only one server. Imo it should have been Escher levels of strong to be playable. It’s still just 1 influence and 0c so you could get away with it. I think Tenma Line is too much influence to ask for.
I was all tongue and cheek with that
Having a lot of trouble finding things to spend influence on in a PsychoSYNC deck. I have a lot of 1 pointers (under the thinking that Quantum and 15 minutes are self defending); maybe Archer would be good? If I’m not importing a kill package (maybe i should), what does NBN Rush need to spend influence on now? Maybe Celebrity Gift? Caprice?
when all else fails give yourself some nice ICE. Ash/Caprice is always good. Who wants to run through a raven twice?
Yeah, I’m sort of thinking that Caprice literally cannot be a bad card.
Reviving this thread to discuss the card on all our minds: Team Sponsorship. I saw a bit of discussion on it in the Leela thread, but it’s time for NBN to reclaim our sports broadcasting rights.
I’ve been testing something like this online: (Heavily influenced by @Xenasis’s sponsorship/biotics deck).
Near-Earth Hub: Broadcast Center
Agenda (11)
1 15 Minutes
3 AstroScript Pilot Program
1 Breaking News
1 Global Food Initiative
1 License Acquisition
1 NAPD Contract
3 Project Beale
Asset (8)
3 Jackson Howard
3 PAD Campaign
2 Team Sponsorship
Upgrade (5)
2 Cyberdex Virus Suite
3 SanSan City Grid
Operation (11)
2 Biotic Labor
1 Fast Track
3 Hedge Fund
2 Shipment from SanSan
3 Sweeps Week
Barrier (4)
2 Eli 1.0
2 Wraparound
Code Gate (8)
3 Enigma
3 Pop-up Window
2 Tollbooth
Sentry (2)
2 Architect
The agenda suit is a bit chaotic but I like the flexibility. Could go to 2x NAPD, 2x Breaking news (no GFI/license) and fit a 3rd sponsorship as they seem to provide insane value if you can get them firing regularly. The in-faction ice from D&D might also prove useful (haven’t looked at it too hard yet). Otherwise it’s just good old astrobiotics with a pair of sponsorships, and I’d never want to run less than 2 cyberdex these days.
Hmmm. I took an asset spam approach to Sponsorship in NEH. Think NEARPAD, but spending influence on assets that give you several options for scoring points instead of attempting to kill the Runner. I’ve been testing it locally, and the only Runner identity to beat it so far is Whizzard. The Sponsorships recurring all the assets is simply absurd, and non-Whizzard or Scrubber-packing Runners just can’t keep up in my experience thus far. It’s not uncommon to have SanSan City Grid on the table with two Team Sponsorships, rez the SanSan and score an agenda, and install Franchise City and/or Public Support(s) w/the Sponsorships.
Now the Runner has a bunch of lousy decisions… Trash the SanSan City Grid? You can still score out-of-hand w/Breaking News or 15 Minutes (or any of the 3/Xs w/an Astro counter), and re-install SanSan City Grid w/the Sponsorships. Same thing if they go to trash Public Support or Franchise City. They can go trash the Sponsorships to stop you from recurring all of your assets, at the expense of temporarily leaving you with your other assets on the table. They can ignore your remotes and hit the centrals, at the expense of giving you points with Franchise City.
I won one game where I was up 6-2 with a rezzed SanSan City Grid, a scored AstroScript (counter intact), and Public Support down to 1 counter. Installed GFI on the SanSan and two Franchise Cities in new remotes (gaining four credits and a card in the process courtesy of Turtlebacks and NEH). In order to prevent me from winning, the Runner would have to run and trash the Public Support, Franchise Cities, and then go steal the GFI - and if they went to steal the GFI first without checking the Franchise City remotes, I just win. The Runner had 2 credits. >_<
More than the simple nature of overwhelming the Runner with more targets than they can afford to trash, I love the amount of decisions this deck gives you. Deciding what to put on the table, when to score, and what to install off those scores makes the deck feel very pilot dependant… How true that actually is, I’m not actually sure.
I think this archetype revolves around 3x Public Support, 3x Turtlebacks, and 3x Team Sponsorship; giving you two influence to play around with. I’m still experimenting with the ice, there’s whole bunch of D&D ice I’m still trying to wrap my head around and haven’t tested with.

Deck built on NetrunnerDB.
won an ANRPC qualifier this past weekend with reg max and Astrobiotics with @Zolend’s tweaks. The DBS’s were missed but overall the focus was overpowering. My one loss was to Kate, but clot wasn’t keeping me down. She has to spend clones clotting everything, I can just make her chase remotes while I try to closeout the game. Matchup felt fine to me.
Team sponsorship is bonkers with beta test, I suspect it would dillute a fastro-deck too much (it doesn’t support every card in the deck like it does in HB) but I’ll be messing with it casually to see.
The trick against whizzard is typically to hold off on rezzing assets. Install multiple things a turn. Make him run to find out what is valuable. At a crucial point in the game (probably right as you score) rez a batch of them. It’s important to compress your rezzes and under invest.
do you have a list?
Submitted it to winning decks, will link it here if you dont have it.
got it. Have posted it, ANR Pro Circuit – Passtimes, Niles, Illinois (25 players) - StimHack
Turns out that is the exact list I’ve been running. Fast track is so good I think its better than DBS in a world where the runner will trash it 80% of the time.
Very similar to the list I put together last night (Ichi --> Architect, Tollbooth --> Gutenberg, Fast Track --> Wraparound/Shipment). I can see a big case for the swaps, but even without them it felt strong. Fast Track is still important for breaking R&D lock I guess.
