I was more wondering if he had thoughts on why philosophically he wasn’t including it. To answer your question, does a rush deck need 13 ice?
I think even on a philosophical level it can be helpful to point at what you would remove, yeah. Pointing at Ice is good enough, without specifically indicating one piece. “Do we need to slow down successful runs, or their agenda score?”, that kind of conceptual juxtaposition can help make discussion more useful and effective
News Teams are so good if you throw them on a SanSan. However, I don’t think a flatline/FA hybrid has the deckslots for it. The deck already feels quite ICE-light, as Popups are more economy than ICE.
If the runner is going to win, they are going to have 2 Plascrete down early before I score the first Astro and siphon me Ito oblivion, going tag me. News Team doesn’t fix this. Ice does. Basically, News Team is too slow, possibly slower than Midseasons, which I cut. I’m not going to wait for them to access three cards out of my deck, I’m going to win before then.
Yes. Maybe even a 14th.
Isn’t one Plascrete plenty for the siphon spam plan? What is the likelihood of drawing both Scorches before they score 7 agenda points?
High enough where you can win.
By # of cards on the list, criminals did not get hit hard, but desperado is so integral to their economy and their influence is so tied up in important out-of-faction cards (breakers and R&D multi-access), that I think they were hit as hard as the other factions and maybe even harder than Anarchs (who, let’s face it, have ample good cards to just slot in after dropping 1-2 clone chip(s) to cover the influence).
Isn’t the reason we don’t run News team in NEH FA that we don’t really slot any punish?
Anarch is everywhere right now, All Seeing I is absolutely ridiculous in the number of free wins it gets you.
I want to believe.
Just a notice to everyone:
I am aware that the name “glass shop” sucks. However, that’s the name I chose and it’s what I’m going to call it that until further notice. So there is no need to complain about it. Thank you.
Balls.
BallsSHOP
Crunchberry Castle.
Gooseberry Pancakes
IHOP.
International House of Paincakes
The Jerk Shop, where they’re all out of you!!!
Ok, being real here, wasn’t trying to sound mean in my previous post. My apologies if I did.
That’s actually something we tried with @spags and honestly, I feel NEH FA is better without. The main reason is that trying to land an ASI is way too much works compared to just trying to score-out. It also force some deckbuilding decision (mainly fitting 3 Breaking News, which means less Exploda in the deck) who basically make the NEH-FA deck slower.
Going for speed seems the right answer to reliably beat orange decks. Anything else is just trying to be cute.
You could definitely be right for NEH. I haven’t been playing it that much, I’ve been on Spark mostly since MWL.
