Like I said, it is the realitve nerf that is “important”, nerf everything and the relative power difference remains the same, only in this case the best answer against Fastro (which was overall good) was PPK, which got hit harder
Sure, Clot is not the only way, maybe it wasn’t even the best way, but the most versatile way was a single Clot in a deck that could get it into play instantly. Sure Andy was at her top at the same time as NEH but disappeared for other reasons.
Now to make it clear, I am neither against the MWL nor was I ever a “hater” of NEHFABS (or any other of the most hated archetypes/cards such as Siphon spamming), I believe in a “free market”; if one deck is the best people will play it a lot to win until something contends it. I just find it funny that Damon comes in to fix a bunch of issues through the biggest change to the game ever and…the more things change…
I will certainly look to the faction I started in and have had a lot of fun with to beat those pesky Moonwriters and everyone else.
Here is my take on NEH post MWL. I went undefeated at a GNK earlier this week, and not one game was close. This deck is just so fast, so furious, and it feels like the strongest deck ATM.
I don’t personally don’t like Yellow Shell, just due to the amount of 1 of’s and the lack of sheer power combined with the acceleration. Don’t get me wrong, Yellow Shell is a great deck, just something at the speed of Glass Shop is more apt for today’s meta.
Just wondering. You don’t have a ton of remotes. If they lock the SanSan out, do you win? 1 Midseason, and no News Team. Push fear and rush behind Raven?
I seem to have just enough draw to get a Scorched when I absolutely need it. I wish I didn’t even have Midseasons in there, most of the time it’s useless, I only play it one in about 20 games, and all the times (that I can remember) playing it I had the game in hand through scoring out. It’s not worth playing unles you are going to get the kill that turn. In the description I strongly suggest cutting it for an ice or CVS or something.
On another note, they are never able to lock out the SanSan. Unless the meta changes drastically, the Glass Shop moves at too fast a tempo for the runner to keep up. But in a worst case scenario, yeah rush behind Raven.
Everyone wants to be the first one to name a deck, man! It’s like discovering a new dinosaur, whoever makes the find or wins a tournament with it gets dibs on the name. Personally I’m still mad that I could never make a breaker-trashing NBN list work, I would have called it “We Interrupt This Program”. And headlock Reina should have been called Orange Crush. You heard it here first.
Also, despite the theorized purpose of the MWL being to make butchershop and its ilk harder to play, the above deck seems to be a very competent mix of fast advance and meat damage. I find this troubling. But maybe since it only packs 2 scorches, the play is to hold only 4 cards in hand, one of which being IHW? It seems unlikely that you’ll actually eat scorch-scorch.
Because the deck is broken…
And you know, glass is broken…
[puts on dunce cap and sits in the corner]
I know it’s pretty bad, but I had to carry on the tradition of deck name that mean nothing. First it was Supermodernism, then Redcoats, and now Glass Shop!
After playing some games versus the list with the Whizz list I’ve been running (courtesy @TheBigBoy), you can definitely make the deck work hard by surviving the kill with IHW and/or Plascrete and keeping SSCG off the table. It’s still a very oppressive deck to play against. You still have to lean hard on Turntable and a bit of luck.
Seriously, are there any Anarch decks that don’t need Turntable+Luck to beat NBN decks right now?
I’ve played a few times against decks running Drug Dealer, and they seem to be this deck’s natural predator. You need double scorch to kill them, and the chance to draw into more agendas is far higher than drawing into the needed combo pieces. Ugh. Apart from that, I like it quite a bit, but I think Fastro is still a stronger choice if fear doesn’t keep your opponent at bay.
Could you explain why you don’t have News Team? That card is just so strong at slowing your opponent down, giving you that little bit of extra time to win.
