Post your terrible decks

Playing this tomorrow at a store tournament, it combines the well-known Snoop+Neural EMP combo with some never advance bullshit.

The snoops are there to help you know how much to trace for when you invasion of privacy, and make sure you get at least one token when you rez one.

Basically get a snoop and some bullshit then make them run it a bunch of times. Also bring a pair of binoculars and use them to stare your opponent down each time they run through snoop.

Next level mind games.

FAQ:

Q: How do I rez all of this over-priced, ineffective ICE and still have money to pay for all of these shitty traces?

A: You are obviously just new to playing NBN, once you get better at the faction, you will learn to draw multiple sweeps weeks in the first few turns. Once you do that, your money problems will be solved.

Q: Snoop + Neural EMP isn’t really a combo, you know your opponent can just draw up to 4 every turn right?

A: Yes, but a good NBN player wouldn’t allow his opponent to draw cards.

Q: There is only 4 ICE in this deck that non-conditionally ends the run, how do I stop the runner from doing literally anything that they want any time they want to?

A: If you are having problems keeping the runner from attack ing you, you simply aren’t mind-gaming hard enough. Be sure to raise your eyebrow and ask: Are you sure you really want to do that? after everything the runner does.

  • ID choice. This is the fun part, pick any! I originally built it with the GRNDL ID, which is my reason for not using NAPD Contracts. Perhaps Making News would work well, boosting the effectiveness of Hunter and Draco, and allowing one to replace the Corporate Wars with NAPD’s. After playing it once on OCTGN (I won, achievement point!!!) I might replace the some or all of the Private Contracts with Subliminal Messagings.

Obviously, only chance to win is as a gear check deck. Corporate Wars are actually fairly good for that since it allows you to keep up the scoring while the runner is desperately digging for the Corroder. Will of the Wisp might make this more viable. But for what purpose I don’t know!

Not so.

Your alternate win condition to gear check rush is Econ + Mega-DracĹŤ.

Perhaps. That is what I was thinking in the one game I played. I had a ton of money (20+ credits) versus maybe 7 for the runner, so was thinking of rushing behind the Draco. However, even if Draco can’t be broken, the runner just goes in once, let’s you bump the trace way high, takes the tag, then runs again. I guess if you have PSF scored (I did) or a Bad Times in hand (I didn’t) it might not be a bad sacrifice to force the tag, if the runner wasn’t at game point (he was).

This makes me think that a cool idea for a new ICE might be a tracer that holds it’s trace strength for the whole turn.

Power Shutdown all the things forever! Restructure the other things! Grind the game into a 3 hour stalemate until the Runner’s out of cards! Archer’s a new addition to go with the Domestic Sleepers. Likely a terrible idea and poor use of influence, but you said to post terrible decks! I should probably add 1x Bifrost Array and 4 more cards.

This deck lives in constant terror of Mass Installation.

Rarely works, super bloody annoying when it does.

Spags, your deck actually looks like a pretty good one. In fact I think I played against it the other night with my (dumb) Nasir deck. I love the Domestic Sleepers/Archer combo.

Speaking of Professor and terrible decks, I attempted parasite recursion the professor, and it wasn’t good enough to post in this thread.

“(no idea what I was thinking when I built that)”

I will guess that you were thinking: “I REALLY want to play snowflake, and all of my Jacksons are in other decks”

It’s better out of ETF.

You still have other ice on that server, presumably already rezzed.

You shouldn’t need to spend all 20 credits on Dracō to keep them out of a remote a couple times.

No (though obviously you definitely feel that way against The Professor) - you don’t need to worry about Siphon when playing against Kit because nobody plays Siphon in Kit (because it makes no sense to do so).

Why not?

The plan here is to have a 5/3 and a Precog in hand. First click you Precog to make sure you have the combo on top. Second click you install the 5/3. Third click you play Accelerated Diagnostics, looking for either 3 of Shipment from SanSan or Trick of Light OR a Subliminal (which gains you a click!) and two of Shipment from SanSan or Trick of Light.

No idea how reliably it will go off, but eh. Maybe it’ll work once in a blue moon?

Oh, I took one of those to the Melbourne Regionals: Milldromeda and Custom Biotics Power Shutdown « Running With Scissors

It was awful. The one time it worked I felt really bad.

@Calimsha: I’ve got a data leak deck that’s not actually going too badly. I posted it here but nobody said much about it. It’s also in the wordpress link above.
