You mean, beyond having 1 credit after getting into your HQ/RnD? Because that’s the case we’re comparing here, isn’t it?
And arguably, Ed is still worse for you than other IDs, because he can trash the Archived Memories/Interns you’d use to get your RnD-trashed Melange back.
Sure, Ed can sometimes hit the recursion, but that’s much less scary than Noise mills, or Valencia blackmailing the remote, for example.
Quanju + Synapse might work better with Joshua B / Rachel, to me.
Official FFG Spoilers for “Old Hollywood” here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2015/3/10/old-hollywood/.
Spoilers is possibly my favourite flavour CCG/LCG card ever. In fact this whole set has a glorious sense of mockery and self mockery about it. “Friends Upgraded” :-).
That new NBN ID is going to be gross I feel. hold your one pointers in hand, and use Kitsune to protect your remote where you keep your astros.
In before “I find out a Fan Site combo for Valencia”
(which is basically written in the flavour text, just in case that was really too hard to guess)
Even better if those 1 pointers are cards like TGTBT or the new Award Bait. That ID seems super strong in general since it doesn’t get hurt as bad to power cards like Legwork and Medium, too. I’m not sure if it’s strong than NEH, but for most decks I think that it’ll be better than either TWIY or Making News (Making News would only really shine if you’re actually running tracing ICE, I’d figure. Midseason play doesn’t really need the 2x recurring credits and would prefer to slow the runner down more than it would like the money).

Wow, those new agendas obviously aren’t as good as NAPD Contract, but they can be potentially as annoying to play against.
Also, WTH is a Sensie.
Sensie
An extremely sensitive man who looks for personal attacks in everything you do and say to compensate for his insecurity. Always starting fights.
Simultaneously occupying the other end of the emotional spectrum, the sensie goes above and beyond to try to impress the woman of his fancy, with many flowery words and phone calls and presents.
The sensie is known to make empty threats to piss you off and then love you the next day.
Actually…I don’t think NAPD Contract is really worth running out of this new ID. Since it has an additional cost, the runner could refuse the steal and go after something else if they desired.
I think a sensie is a future word for a movie analog. Like a movie is a picture that moves. A sensie is a movie that you sense. Or something like that.
Excited to see what the remaining text on “An Offer You Can’t Refuse” is going to be :).
It was already spoiled in the FFG SanSan cycle announcement fan.
The Runner may make a run on a Central of your choice. If the Runner does not or the run is unsuccessful, add this card to your score area as 1 agenda point.
The text may or may not include something about not being able to jack out too, unsure.
I feel this passage of text was particularly heartfelt:
“They know that, given time, someone always preempts the marketing machine with poorly timed leaks. Accordingly, they’ve focused on their processes, mastering the art of moving projects swiftly from the concept stages to post-production and mass release.”
I noticed that as well and I felt that it was quite poignant given the past spoils from a certain third party.
Yeah I think these cards take the somewhat-cynical satire that Netrunner does so well to a wonderful new level. Explode-a-Palooza is hilarious, and the self-referential humour of Spoilers is almost painfully clever.
I’m also really liking the look of the NBN ID. The combo with Award Bait seems sweet. I love the idea of a turn which is just install Beale, install Award Bait, install Snare. Runner has a 1/3 shot to hit the card I don’t want them to. If they get it wrong it’s 3 net and a tag or I score a 3 point Beale next turn. And if they get it right I still get to score a 1-pointer, or leave it there for future baiting. That’s assuming of course they don’t run again after hitting Snare, but that seems a fair assumption. I’m thinking 3x Award Bait, 3x Beale, 3x TGTBT, 3x Astro, 2-3x Midseasons, 2-3x Manhunt, 3x Snare, 3x DRT, 2-3x Data Raven would be a nice start to a pretty nasty deck.
Also just realised that if they’ve already stolen their agenda for that turn Award Bait can advance itself. Pretty funny, if largely pointless (unless you’re lining up ToL or something I guess).
I wonder if The Board might work in a Harpsichord deck…
They are taking this from literature. FFG is quite inspired by some old sci-fi novels and it’s kind of cool to see how they build up a world from that.
I’m pretty sure the Sensies are the future movie award show, like the Oscars.
The Netrunner thread on /tg/ has been talking about Paparazzi
