SanSan Cycle Spoilers

Looks like Imp will really ruin Haarpsichor’s day. Take that first agenda and trash the second then pick up it for real on the next turn.

Or you can play with all your agenda in your discard pile by power-shutdowning yourself and then try to make a 7 pts beale in a single turn =D

Clearly the solution is Keyhole, Imp, other trashing effects, and 3 Archives Interfaces. Just mill every agenda into the archives and then remove them 3 at a time until it’s impossible for either side to win.

(I know sarcasm doesn’t work on the internet, so I want to emphasize that I do not actually think this is a good idea)

I can’t wait to see what we will eventually be able to do with Fan Site. Only thing that currently comes to mind is Data Dealer.

I think Frame Job is going to be more impactful, since it can turn on Blackmail for basically any runner now. I’d easily see some Ian decks with logos to pull up the frame job after the first agenda is scored and then start putting aggressive central pressure down while leaving remotes completely vulnerable to blackmail.

People dying to Philotic just because they put up a Fan Site sure is a hilarious thought, though

Love the theme, but the card is coaster material.

But! It hates on Argus Security so hard :).

Also is kinda funny as a way to turn on DLRs I guess. NO NOES THE PAPARAZZI! MILL ALL THE THINGS!

It’s certainly not terrible in the right deck, being free. I mean, if you’re tagged, they can trash it, but then they can’t Scorch you anyway unless they land a few more tags on you.

Against a meat damage heavy meta, or in decks that like being tagged, yeah, I can see it being useful enough, at that price especially.

Explode-a-Palooza seems like a reasonable 4/2 for a lot of decks, I could see it being run in a Midseasons-Scorch deck alongside/instead of NAPD Contracts. Leads to a bigger credit swing, no downside for BP, but there’s no chance it won’t get stolen when accessed. A mixed bag.

Award Bait might be good in Haarpsichord, but honestly it seems weaker than Explode or TGTBT. I mean, the ability is amazing, but it’s much less reliable and requires Advance Ice or Advance Traps to really function, as it getting random-accessed when you’ve got nothing down is all too possible.

I can’t think of a use for Fan Site that hasn’t been mentioned and wouldn’t require new cards designed to take advantage of it – though given this is the faction of Notoriety… maybe there’ll be something.

There’s kraken as well! Everybody can feel a bit like leela!

Would that work though? Kraken says “play only if you stole an agenda this turn”.

hmm. You are probably right.

That’s a shame.

Unable to jack out, yes.
Exact text is
"Choose a central server. The Runner may initiate a run on that server during which he or she cannot jack out. Otherwise, add An Offer You Can’t Refuse to your score area as an agenda worth 1 agenda point."

Also, that card makes you run within a corpo turn :
=> payed + triggered initiative are upside-down (corp first)
=> Chum Bako should now work (at encounter, 1c to remove Bako before the runner can break, then blam 3 nets from Chum)
=> tollbouth makes FF paying 3c
=> bioroïds gets funny (can’t click through)
=> cell portal for more trololo
=> etc

New weird Jinteki s., that’s great

I wish the new NBN ID wasn’t so thoroughly blanked by Leela AND Imp, which are just everywhere right now.

Femme and booth have the same trigger condition so booth triggers first now.

Especially since neither of them seems likely to go anywhere. Neither crim ID for the cycle looks engaging enough to draw from Leela, and Anarch’s not about to become less popular, especially if Haarpsichord does become a thing.

I can kinda get why it wasn’t part of Lunar Cycle, but still.

EDIT: That said, I think it’ll still have some teeth to it. The on-access abilities fire twice if you’re relying on Imp and in both those matchups you can set up scoring servers to make things rougher on your opponent. As much as Leela can screw over the gameplan of “put two out, score one”, Haarpsichord can hurt her, too, by making multi-access that much less effective as a means or triggering her ability.

While Imp wrecks that plan as well, it doubles the number of times they access the new agendas, too, meaning you might get a 10 credit swing on them Imping and scoring your Explode-a-Palooza. Midseasons follow up seems not unlikely, and there’s little reason for a deck with Midseasons not to have any chance of Psycho-Bealeing their way to victory anyway.

I don’t think it’s as hard to imagine an Ice suite that could keep Haarpsichord relatively safe, with the new NBN Ice. Gutenberg is a click and two credits or an awful lot of money to keep from getting scorched as a follow-up. Little Engine is effective quasi-tax in a situation like this one, too. Red Herrings and/or Midway Station Grid seem actually playable here, and Information Overload with Midway Station is a pretty damn taxing thing, even without MN’s trace boosting (though not as more than a one-of). Only reason no one liked Midway was SanSan, but if you want to build taxing servers, Midway works pretty well, I think?

Making them pay a dollar is an “on encounter” ability, and the runner bypasses during the approach.
[/quote]On their turn, when they get priority. On corp turn, the 3c triggers first. Same with Komainu, which makes it much more dangerous on the Corp turn.

This is what I get for posting immediately after waking up. That’s pretty fun then.

Slamming runners into bioroids (no clicks on your turn!) could also be fun.

Holy crap, I just had a vision of dumping your Explode-a-Paloozas into Archives to get a 15 cred swing where they can only steal 1. Midseason on your turn then pop jackson when they go back for more.

Haarpsichord makes archive agenda play much more interesting, since they’ll access them all and can only steal one.

I’m not sure how feasible that is, but I totally want to try it anyway!
