Tech Startup seems pretty cool with the Executives - search out a single Director Haas in Jinteki Biotech (or any other deck that likes Never Advancing 4/2’s and FA 3/2’s) for 5 influence rather than spending 12 on 3 biotic labors or 9 on SanSans?
Yea, Director Haas is a powerhouse with this card. Practically a 3c Biotic Labour threat the Runner must run and deal with, at your leisure & timing.
…but it’s still worth 2 AP - isn’t that the real problem?
Yes, but packing only one copy might make it swallowable. To be fair though, EBC is a much more versatile asset tutor. If I wanted to build this Director Haas idea I would use EBC over Tech Startup anyway. This would not allow scoring the same turn Haas hits, but Clot anyways ;).
Its practically an NAPD + 1. Tech Startup let’s you run 1x, and with SanSans your remote becomes a scary place. Its like those tier 2 Haas decks, but better. And those extra copies of Startup can tutor campaigns or Jacksons if you don’t want Haas.
Brain Taping is not unique. That’s kinda exciting. Tech Startup in Stronger Together to go find them? (Jank warning!)
The real problem here is the deck slot (and increased Imp vulnerability when compared to NAPD, but I digress). This issue is further compounded by the increased RnD porosity caused by Tech Startup’s 1 trash cost.
But hey, you can always Boot Camp those Startups outta there
It is, but wouldn’t you rather BLC in the Startup slots? Gives you startup cash (pun intended), and I suspect drawing into Brain Tapings is better than having to defend Startup for a turn to summon them. If you don’t want to draw into them, EBC still seems better, because you can always install EBC, tutor, install Brain-Taping and have it be ready for the runner’s next turn.
I wasn’t entirely serious, but I think you’re probably right. That said, there’s a big value in tutoring over pure draw: drawing into agendas with ST almost certainly sucks (I haven’t checked in a long while…) because it’s so hard to assemble a scoring remote with bioroids quickly. GLC is surely better than BLC for that reason.
While I’m personally pretty hyped for certain cards in The Valley, I also can’t wait for Breaker Bay as I want to try out a prepaid hayley deck as you can set up half your rig mid run and do back to back events, allowing for some great click efficiency.
Play indexing, SMC something mid run, pop down a lady/d4v1d/something, and then follow up with a maker’s eye or economy.
London Library also screams to be used in recurring lady/d4vid/overmind/femme shenanigans. Throw in scavenge/uninstall and things get real fun.
I also apologise for any incorrect information I posted in the reddit spoilers.

Anarch, 1-cost, 2 influence
Event: Current.
“As an additional cost to rez non-ice cards, the Corp must trash a card from HQ at random”
paige piper has pretty good shot of being really…really solid.
mimic hate. love it. kind of.
The 0 cost really sold it for me.
Yep. I’m thinking Val with 3 x Kati, 3 x breakers, 3 x Paige, maybe do the Investigative Journalism thing (not go all-in on Blackmail) with the main plan to set up (at least) 2-cred discounted runs all day once the mid-game is in full swing. Thinning your stack of unneeded cards with Paige and leveraging Earthrise Hotel to bring in fresh cards (Sure Gambles, Daily Casts, hopefully) seems like it might work.
Is Brain Taping the card that’s finally going to nudge ST into the solid ID category for heavy bioroid use over just using EtF? The selling point of ST is that it costs the runner more to run every time they pay to break subroutines, and with Brain Taping you either guarantee them paying the ST tax or you get cheap ICE rezzes.
Bandwidth seems…interesting? I’m wondering if there’s some kind of taxing NBN deck out there running Bandwidth, Data Ravens, Architects, maybe Draco/Hunter with Sub Boost back up, as I think NBN definitely has the most ICE that get really annoying when you tack on an ETR subroutine.
Especially french version imho.
She brings cards in grip : woohoo
Ooh, did you get the pack in France already?
That’s a pretty big mistake!
Some had it saturday/sunday. Some were telling “bug, bug, bug !”, some were telling “feat, feat, feat !”.
Given my natural tendency to always bet on the wrong horse, guess where I was
I’m not sure those are in shops allready.
I know we could have spoiled all of these, sorry for that.
