Custom Card Thread

very cool design, could probably cost 0 to incentivize playing it vs just paying full price

Not unless you can unrez it ! Which is why it’s in HB.

A distant cousin of HB’s Panic Button, perhaps? Meant to slow down runners who hope to make multiple runs in their turn.

I think the relatively low cost is fine, with the restrictions in place and the recurring cost.

I love the continuing medical theme, paired with the Runner-benefit mechanic. Reeks of Jinteki.

I think it’s the gamer in me that comes from other games and is used to things costing stuff. But you’re probably correct that it should be 0 or 1.

The cost of passing the targeted ice is the same as if it were targeted by Femme Fatale. But this doesn’t otherwise function as an icebreaker and you’ll still take any “on encounter” effects.

Hot Take: A new thread for each Custom Cards would be a good thing.

I love how this makes Pop-Up Window into a Pop-Up Window

I wasn’t sure about a new thread every week since the site sorts by activity anyway

Tank
Anarch
4$
Program - icebreaker - killer
3$: break any number of sentry subroutines. if this is the first ice you encounter this run, this ability costs one less $ to use.
3$: +2 strength
5 strength
“With this big machine, I can get past anything.” -Rene “Loup” Arcemont

note: the ability being cheaper represents the tank having more shells. when it goes further into the server, it has less shells and needs to limit the amount it uses. after all, it won’t be able to reload until it gets out of the server again!

Not much to do with this week’s them, but it’s a nice ability to have it discounted

Outlaw
Program • Install: 1 • Memory: 0 • Strength: -

Whenever you encounter a piece of ice, it gains “↳ Trash Outlaw.” until the end of the run.

Whenever you break all subroutines on a piece of ice, place 1 credit on Outlaw. You may use credits hosted on Outlaw to install programs.

3 hosted credits: Draw a card.

that ones good.

I love cards that do a buncha stuff in a janky way, instead of one thing perfectly.

The credits on Outlaw are usually going to cost you at least a credit a piece, so it isn’t really an economy card. Though it has some synergy with anything that allows you to break a subroutine for free or to break all subroutines.
But the money hangs around, so it isn’t wasted.

Though the option of turning those credits into click-free card draw is pretty unique!

I dig it.

The Starlight Crusade is an often forgotten but very interesting faction, an upstart religion with strong political and spiritual stances, and truly zealous lawyers. Through a combination of brainmapping, cybernetics, and spirituality they deliver a unparalleled experience that only gets better as you ascend to higher (priced) levels.

Check out their page in Worlds of Android for more detail.

I didn’t have anything about the Starlight Crusade floating around my head this morning, but here’s a little something. This is supposed to scuttle corp strategies that involve getting a tag or two, and then using one or more copies of some Weyland Operation to kill the Runner.

I made it before I remembered Citadel Sanctuary existed. That card is perhaps more useful.

Whats cardinal reese?

A slightly shady religious leader from the Android board game.

Is the card name supposed to be Cardinal Reese?

:clock4:, X credits : Make a run on a central server. When it is successful, add a power counter to Meditation booth. X is the number of power counters on meditation booth.

:wastebasket:, 4 power counters: Add meditation booth to your score pile as an agenda worth 1 point.

I guess it could be! Would probably better fit it being a Connection.
