I am realy nerous about using Inject/Clone/Djinn as a means of finding breakers over SMC/Djinn. Especially with one fewer Corroder.
I’ve been running tests using the card draw engine on NRDB, and milling your breakers is less of a problem than anticipated. I did, however, cook up this alternate version that still uses SMC. I also slotted in an extra Djinn, as I feel like it’s an extremely useful tool in the deck.

And you could just as easily find room for a Yog in there if it suits you. I’m honestly considering it myself, although I’m not sure what to cut.
I’m pretty sure that list needs more econ. The Blue Sun matchup especially will be super-hard on you, because without a carapace playing even a single Stimhack can lose you the game easily.
What would you cut, and for what econ? Day Job is the glaring exclusion, but I could see Dirty Laundry going in as well.
Well, for starters, I would either fit 2 Carapaces or I would ditch the Stimhacks. I get that it has wonderful synergy with SMC and everything, but the way you’re set up now is beyond suicidal. As it is now, your two worst matchups will either leave you with three dead cards and short on econ, or in extreme danger of auto-losing. Another thing I’d cut is the second Djinn - you don’t want two out, and this leaves you in a weird spot where it probably won’t show up soon enough without tutoring, and if you burn a tutor for it, you’ve now got a dead card in your stack.
Economy cards I’d consider including are (in order of relevance) third Kati, Cyberfeeders and Dirty Laundries. Feeders in particular do a lot for an ID that wants to run at least once per turn to capitalize, like our bro Ed here. It’s like a PPVP that works off of a rulebook action!
While I agree on the econ, the I’ve Had Worse are this list’s “carapace” and you’re playing Edward Kim after all. I do think you need to keep 3x I’ve Had Worse if you intend to not play Carapace.
I also a agree that a Yog makes sense.
My current list doesn’t have Yog. I did add some Knights to fight Constellation ICE though. It was hard for me to fit it in. I went down to 2x Datasucker. I also cut the Stimhack and tried Liberated Accounts:

The issue Peekay is pointing out is that once you Stimhack, a singleton IHW is no longer protection against double Scorch. Which means that Stimhack is more-or-less unplayable in that matchup until you are confident that you’ll win before they can pull off a double Scorch – so, effectively, you’ve got 3 dead draws in that matchup. (OTOH, 2x Plascrete is 2 dead draws against pretty much every other matchup in the game, and most of us consider that playable. The difference, of course, is that we’re not counting on those Plascretes for econ.)
Also - the more I look at my updated list, the more I think “man - that’s too many specialized breakers.” I think the Knights can actually go and bring back a Datasucker (which is basically an econ card) and maybe fit in another econ card like the third Liberated Accounts.
Not sure.
IMO no Anarch should be playing 2 Carapace. That’s insane. Play 3 IHW, and then 1 Carapce if you’re a weenie. I honestly don’t think Anarchs need Carapace right now, but I guess that depends on your meta. If you’re playing SMC in Anarch, play 3 SMC 3 Stimhack IMO. If you’re not playing SMC, play 1 or 2 Stimhack, depending on how aggressive your build is. It should probably be fairly aggressive since Shaper can do the ‘control’ thing much better.
Do you enjoy losing games you should by all rights win? Double scorch is a real thing that happens, you can’t be certain you’ll be able to deny them combo pieces with your ID, and relying on IHW against Punitives is somewhat fishy as well - especially with a 5-card hand, where your chances of survival after stealing a single 3-pointer are a measly 60%
While I agree that Anarchs don’t need Carapaces unless they’re running Stimhack/Amped Up (which this deck sure as hell does), I’m starting to think that the IHWs are there in place of the second copy, not both.
Even before IHW I never ran 2 Carapace in any Runner deck, I didn’t get flatlined too often. PC is definitely trickier to play around than Scorched. Maybe it’s wrong, but I already can’t fit all the cards I want to play in 45 cards; one more Carapace means another card I want to play doesn’t make the cut.
Well here’s my list that I want to test if someone would show up to play.

I think I should cut that 3rd Day Job for that deck space. I was also waffling between Atman or Gordian, but yea the argument of having more than 1 breaker rely on suckers is going to be a crux those runs after a purge, and paying 7 to drop an Atman to deal with Lotus in the first place feels hard with this econ.
Here’s what I’ve got now. I’m going to stick with the SMC plan for now. It’s a little bit less volatile than using Inject for my card draw. I would really like to slot a 3rd IHW in there for the added card draw/protection, but I really have no idea what to cut at this point. Maybe the 2nd Imp or David?

I would cut Djinn but it might be due to my personal dislike for the card.
Agreed - especially when you’re already packing SMC. Although that does make the Sneakdoor less manageable.
I think Djinn is perfectly fine as a 1-of. It lets you fetch the 1-of Medium or Nerve Agent when you need it.
I think I shall try this
Took Eddy to the Franklin, WI Store Championship, went 2-2. Economy is tight, Kati Jones really fuels the deck. Definitely needs more Scorch protection, as both losses were from getting Scorched out due to not finding IHW fast enough. I feel like 1x Plascrete might be the way to go, it’s a little more resistance to variance.
