Set better drive permissions, or just throw it on Imgur.

It posted the whole thing in the reply for me, so I wasn’t aware no one else could see it. I’ve updated access permissions. Let me know if it’s still not showing and I’ll do something else.

Sunny Side Up

For this deck I went to the basics. What does Sunny do well? Link (Cloud/Resources). What doesn’t she do well? Break things. So, I leveraged her link into economy options that were pretty persistent (no surprise, drip econ) but which also leveraged all of that time you have to spend searching for stuff (surprise, proco). And, when I realized that I was heading towards having enough connections, I added hostage so that I wouldn’t be wasting my influence on duplicates. This allows the deck a little bit more flexibility, but potentially slows it down. Good news, we know that slow goes well with sniping. So most of my other decisions in that direction. Proco & drip econ help by just building econ. And you can watch R&D for agendas while controlling remote econ. Maybe not tier 1, but I like this direction more than the ones which require you to use awful breakers all of the time.

I like the look of this (having played a decent amount of Sunny).

Why Shiv though? Of all Sunny’s breakers I’ve thought her killer to be the best of the lot. Architect I suppose, but it won’t help you with early face checks.

I think 1x Security Nexus is nuts.

You should install it before any breakers, IMO.

As a corrollary, I think 3x of the Sunny Breakers is also nuts, especially without some way (e.g. Faust, Freelance Coding Contract), to get value out of the extra copies.

Security Nexus is frosting; Its more important to have economy and breakers, imo.

I’m not spending money on tutors for programs, so 3x it is and I’ll discard whatever I don’t need. Its reliable and that’s all it needs to be.

Shiv is free to use. Its more of an economy card than a breaker. 1 time, save the cost of breaking a sentry. Usually +4/+6 to the credit pool. And it doesn’t take up mu, so data folding isn’t hurt and neither is other stuff. Its also fine to have in multiples. Security chip likes having it installed, too.

Security Nexus is “economy and breakers”.

You can win games against HB with nothing but Nexus, Jak Sinclair, and a bunch of economy resources. (I think doing it this way is actually best, because it pretty much blanks Ichis and Assassins)

You know what this sounds like to me…

Most HB decks are on caprice right now, which means the once per turn console is somewhat of a liability, but it is pretty good; the probablem being that it costs 8 to install. 8 is a huge hit and it doesn’t save you that much if the corp has money. Its more important to control assets against HB.

Unfortunately the deck build above can’t really deal with RP or NEH. Its only good vs foodcoats.

Has anyone gotten any luck with Sunny lately? I’ve been running the power tap variant and I feel like it has a specific tech against anyone running a bunch of tracer ice. Which does have merit when Archangel, Guten, News Hound, Assassin are big, but anything else seems pointless. But I’m also odd on using Compromised Employee because while it returns better early, reoccurring is not gaining.

I REALLY like the power taps in this build, but I am always scratching my head on how to balance burst economy to get everything online and the sustained economy.

Also how do you beat astro with this id? I just get stomped!

Yea so far my Sunny games require me to move at a minimum speed that gets outpaced by anyone rushing. Between how much her breakers cost to use and the speed of drip econ it doesn’t help to play fast sometimes. And I am also really too conservative with cards to play. I feel like everything needs to come down instead of being discarded, since there’s a lack of recovery with her.

Played many games with Sunny lately, I think she’s pretty solid if your meta is full of glacier builds.

She needs time, and I think the key for that is The Source. Running 2 copies just for slowing the game a bit is really good. Still have problems against FA decks or Blitz decks, but well, you cant do a lot right now with the cards we have in the field for her.

Playing with connections is a good way to mix all the good stuff she has for free. John Masanori and Jak Sinclair works really well. The Source, Film Critic & Fall guy too. Underworld Contract are connections too. For me is enough for playing Off-Campus Appartment. Also, you can add Compromised Employee, since it’s better than link if you’re playing connections. Add some Calling in Favors as good mid-late money burst and you have a solid anti-glacier build.

The real problem comes if you have to face many NEH blitz builds because the source is not enough for stopping FA decks if they’re close to match point. Old EtF FA decks and Weyland rush are also good against this build, so I think Sunny is a real good tier 1.5 deck if you think everyone is going to play slow decks, but maybe too risky to play her in a big tourney.

You know, that is my problem too. I am often left staring at a huge tempo loss as I simply cannot support the cost of my programs on top of everything else.

Is hyperdriver+chatterjee going to be worth it maybe? One turn of clicking 6 or 7 onto chaterjee and then having the resource pay for your breakers and multi-threaders sounds pretty sweet to me.

If anything it’s a Kati replacement.

Might be a worthy one too in some builds as you are taking one turn for the security of being able to just play your clunky breakers from your grip.

One of these things at 5 means you can pretty much just set up your whole suite as you go.

Of course to beat an armitage you pretty much have to install more than your rig to net a profit.

The early game pressure is the problem…and for that Faust is usually the answer. I’ve been playing and tweaking my deck quite a bit. Somewhat similar to @DojiTre 's deck, but influence spent on Faust for the early game pressure (or at least an attempt at early-game pressure). I don’t have as many econ-generating resources, but then again I haven’t felt the need for it and Street Peddler + OCA has been great for card draw. The source is a good plan, but you can’t afford the RDI, Faust, and the source in the same deck. I suppose the remote lock attempt can work with The Source + Fall Guy (@higgs_bozo as been doing similar) , but I’m a bit wary.

Hard choices. Will tweak my deck a bit more and post my findings.

My best attempt on Sunny so far. It went 3-1 at todays GNK (16p).

Wins against “5 agenda Blue Sun”, “Spark FA” and “Turtlebacks Gagarin”. A loss against Foodcoats.

Deck built on NetrunnerDB.

It’s based on a deck that I saw online, I think it was on Kiv’s youtube channel.
The combination of Career Fair, Modded and Street Peddler makes Sunny way faster.
The rest of the card choices should be pretty obvious I think.

Gotta admit, surprised both global sec security and jak Sinclair are not in there, but I like the focus on one thing as well.

Seems better than my build at the moment for sure.
