Has anybody tried a tag me deck with Sunny yet? It seems good if you can have link with rabbit holes and then ethier force them to pay with Nexus or you get through, and there is no negative to using the Nexus besides ETR. You could throw a couple Siphons in there because she’s got a bunch of Influance, maybe a PrePaid economy?
Fair enough. I’ll try to more aggressively install it.

Maybe it’s too slow… What do you think?
Has anyone tried throwing a couple of Ice Carvers into Sunny? I played against a friend who did it, and was surprised at how good it was. (No more Enigmas for 4, Assassins for 4, etc.)
My only trepidation would be if you’re relying on any resources. But like you say, maybe an event-based econ with no resources?
Power tap sunny does have more moving parts to get rolling. The argument for Medium over R&D was a full setup was a good run per turn, so at some point there will be a critical mass of Medium tokens for that big dig. And cloud breakers mean spare memory. My tricky part with Sunny is that early game without econ means losing key parts just to look for them. But I also wasn’t one installing early Nexus so that shift might be more important. That’s 14 for a Nexus Rabbit Hole setup that forces the corp to pay at least 1 per nexus trace, with at least needing the 2 credit drip to clear a tag after if need be. But that does end up draw reliant. And drawing that second rabbit doesn’t help it’s case.
I’m also wondering about Drug Dealer. As is I like the click free draw, but the econ cost means at least a few things down before it rolls, otherwise just clicking for that card anyway. So peddler was another nice option, but there are also enough events in the deck that means missing on something important. Quality Time wants recursion or all the econ up and running as well to not waste cards. Baby was useful in the other setup, and ProCo is just too much influence. And part of me wants to run Film Critic or Data Dealer to deal with those annoying bits on access.
I feel like Datasucker does the same thing but is better for Sunny. You can build counters with Jak, they’re cheap to install, it’s less influence, and with Sunny’s Cloud breakers you have the extra memory where you can fit them in without issues.
But then again, also can be completely wiped by the Corp.
Now realizing you took out the Folding for the Threaders I think you have a plan here. Threaders are better money if they’re being used, and power tap means nexus makes money and threader helps with breakers. I think the only hard part is the drug dealer money.
I don’t know why you’re so negative on it, I think it’s a perfectly reasonable one-of for the late game. For the first, like, 7 turns or so I want that click for other things, but once the drip is rolling “knowing if it’s worth it to run a taxing R&D” is probably one of the most efficient things you can do with a single click.
Parenthetically, it’s the only card in my deck that says “R&D” on it.
I am deeply skeptical of paying 3 influence for anything at all in Sunny, and there are a lot of 3-influence cards I would take before Ice Carver (ex.: Inside Job).
Maybe replacing the drug dealers for quality time it’s a good idea, or just 2 symmetrical visage and use the 2 influence for other cards…
So played a few rounds with your deck on Jinteki. Never was able to get out more than two power taps before something wiped them (Corporate town and a BN to ASI) but getting the rabbit holes out worked against Ravens and Gutenburgs. Also the Multithreader pulled more work in those situations by being not trashed econ. SV didn’t feel like it was pulling a lot. A lot went to dupe draws of breakers and consoles. I’ve ran the other Power Tap build that turned silly with Nexus, taps and Holes running, but both end up having to rely on Kati for a good load of money most of the time.
I also put in a single Zul and pretty much all the time I’m using it over Striker because nearly all Code Gates are single sub. Striker is apparently better for Viper and Wormhole, but otherwise especially with Security Chip Zul solves problems better. Might be worth swapping a Striker for another Econ for me here.
But I think there is an argument for Drug Dealer, especially if you can run extra drip. With just Contacts it doesn’t feel as viable to lose that 1 credit when you probably only have two out. It’s more reasonable when you can get 4 between Folding and Contacts going. Tap also really likes for you to force traces, which will more likely be the console itself.
I’ll keep trying, see if there’s just a more playstyle change needed too.
I’m attempting to test an MO build for Sunny, since she has the extra MU… Preliminary reports are that it’s still really slow.
Anyone else tried Magnum Opus in Sunny? I’m guessing the econ hit from the initial install is going to end up torpedoing this idea…
It’s all click compression. Sunny has the link for drip so her builds push towards that. Nexus protects against troublesome ice, so that pushes running. She doesn’t have the space for the cheats Opus money gives shapers, so that hurts the compression SMC/Test Run/Clone Chip grants.
I don’t understand why you would want to put MO in Sunny. I don’t know what it does to solve her problems.
As you said, when I was playing with it I was relying on kati most of the time and that slows more the deck… I want to try to find a place to put the 3 data folding but i dont know what to cut
It’s harder because with Multithreader put me down memory wise for Folding to Kick in. Granted, 3 Folding is probably worth more than putting in that second threader.
Her breakers are expensive, but if you can pay for them with a good economy, they’re the best in the game. MO is one of the best straight credit economy engines in the game, but its drawbacks usually outweigh that. The install cost, the 2MU… Sunny doesn’t care about the 2MU, so…
Huh, actually… Are her breakers the best in the game, if you assume you always have money…? Crap, now I need to find that table of breaker vs ICE again…
The problem is her breakers is basically 4 for any piece of ice, so with Mopus it’s 2 clicks for each ice she has to break, not counting drips. That’s why clickless econ has its place.
Maybe a build like this: Sunny Taps Out · NetrunnerDB
I don’t know if medium is better than the R&D interfaces because with the interfaces you can benefit from the jak sinclair run. With the medium you put virus counters but don’t access more than 1 card isn’t it?
I would fit a ZU over one of the three modded too
