FWIW, your name came up a couple times at our ‘WI State Champs’ SC yesterday, most notably how we think you’re the inspiration of the Inside Job art.

Why?

So the rumors that your hair is 50% of your bodyweight are unfounded?

The manic nature of it. I think we believe you play OCTGN on the toilet.

FWIW, playing @Nordrunner yesterday, every time I won a Psi game v. him, I proclaimed, “BAKING soda, I got BAKING soda!” Inspired by your FB post a minute ago.

This is a fact. I play every game primarily on the toilet.

I forgot Inside Job dude was relieving himself. Now it makes perfect sense.

Sadly, the prevalence and strength of the new Anarch just makes NEH FA look optimal again. Wraparound, Eli, and Architect make Eater lose its appetite. Corp was 4-0 Swiss / 2-0 elims; shockingly, the 3 games vs Eater decks were easy, the 3 games vs Andy were tough. Clot can’t come soon enough!

Stealth Andy is still a blast and still amazing, no regrets there. 3-1 Swiss, 2-1 elims, both losses to the same NEH FA (which I beat in finals for revenge!). The Lemuria served its purpose in my one game against PE, and Utopia - which replaced FF - was great when I saw it. With careful running and the occasional Siphon I was never at risk from Midseasons, and Crash Space is enough to prevent other kill methods.

This was my first tournament with a cut, and I’ve gotta say that is a lot of games against the same people. Thanks to bubbling up in Swiss then double-elim, I played 4 games against 3rd place and 5 against 2nd…

Winning Decks for The Game Preserve Indianapolis
22 Players Winner: Me

Undefeated on both sides through swiss and elimination.

EDIT: It is important to note that the Crisium Grids came into play against MaxX in two match ups and saved my ass entirely. Placing it on hq with end the run ICE forced the MaxX players to slow down at least, and in both cases stall out enough to jump start the astrotrain.

Man am I glad I chose Lafeyette over Indy. That looks nasty.

Edit: DJ is right, I had 2 crisium in my Titan deck, and it single-handedly bought me several turns both on RnD and my remote. Shame I didn’t pull enough for HQ too, wanton and siphon are a nightmare. Everyone, run crisium.

Decklists below. Crisium Grid and Psychographics were for Maxx but I didn’t play one. As for runner, the Scrubber was great and I was happy to draw it against most corps. Otherwise standard decks.

Paying 6 inf for card draw and a conditionnal scorch protection isn’t worth it. Shaper already got a better draw engine in-faction, have Deus X recursion against Net Damage (ppvp + diesel and QT) and only need 1 inf for Utopia Shard to play around Sea / Scorch x2. Criminal (especially Andy) doesn’t need the card draw as much as the other 2 faction and have some better way to play around both the tag/scorch and the net damage (SecTesting/Masanori/Feedback Filter)
