We all have favorite/unfavorite cards. Astroscript. Scorched. Far and away caprice is mine. I had a 2 hr 55 minute game, where I had 6 agenda points and the Corp dropped a naked caprice on Hq. Subsequent turns, started adding ice.
Last 5 agendas in the deck in hand.
So much flavour. Love it. Among these, Eyes seems like the only good card (slightly better than personal touch for anarch, shame it’s not 1 inf), but I’m sure people will try and fail to make the mushin + mandatory + overwriter deck good with the new ID.
Remote server with Ryan (rezed) in it and an Architect guarding. They run on it: you trash Ryan and rez the architect, using it to reinstall Ryan. With the new ID, your job is 1/2 way done.
Really digging the risk/reward mechanic with the cybernetic cards, and the theme running through Chrome City HB looks nasty.
Notice that the meat damage on eyes is not unpreventable, so if you don’t want to splash for parlor you can use Plascrete for something other than Scorch.
Looks like Oaktown Grid might be “limit 1 per deck”, thank the maker. 7-trash IT department is scary.
So we’ve got the ‘genetics’ pack, the ‘college’ pack, and now the ‘cybernetics’ pack. Pack 4 is shaping up to be the ‘shitty part of town’ pack, with a whopping five Criminal cards (Drive By, Forger, Shiv, an unknown card, and Muertos Gang Member). Pack 5 only has two spoilers so far, Trope and An Offer You Can’t Refuse, but with the known existence of Casting Call, I’m calling that the ‘Hollywood’ pack. Pack 6 has Team Sponsorship, Ancestral Imager, and Product Placement, so who knows. The ‘blatant commercialism’ pack?
So far, despite being designed individually instead of as a cycle, the packs seem to have 1 ID apiece and still alternate corp-runner-corp-runner. That would make pack 4 a runner, pack 5 a corp, and pack 6 a runner, with either 4 or 6 getting an additional corp identity as well. My guess is 4 will be a new Criminal, 5 will be NBN and Anarch (perhaps, in fact, Princess Space Kitten), and 6 will be Weyland.
Also, this doesn’t really mean anything, but the four ‘scientist’ ICE are all in Breaker Bay. That’s tidy.
…so a 3/1 agenda that gives what basically amounts to unavoidable brain damage, that’s, uh, that’s pretty good. So if I’m Cybernetics Division, and I (conservatively) score 1, and (less conservatively) get off one Ryon Knight, my larcenous little opponent has a new max hand size of 2.
I like those odds. Prepare the Self-Destruct buttons, we’re rolling our finely-tailored German sleeves up and seeing what works.
