I got mine through amazon. They have matte red, blue black and green when i checked. They are arriving today so cant give an objective review just yet though.
Chaoscards.co.uk, I believe, ships to Europe.
Damn you guys, I finally made the jump from UltraPros to Dragonshields recently and now youre telling me KMC are superior?
Yes
⦠Why is the name of that image āno autistic 12 year olds fighting with each otherā?
Thats how I feel when no autistic 12 year olds fight with each other, AKA no Xbox vs Playstation debate.
Thereās also autistic 20-40 years olds for mac vs pc debate!
Letās stay away from these kind of names. No need to insult, hurt etc.
Letās move on.
Whatever, cheese eating surrender monkey.
The other big advantage to KMC is that you can get purple Hyper Mattes. Dragon Shield doesnāt offer purple matte sleeves yet.
I played the belgian nationals with double sleeved KMCs. I liked it to be honest. The cards are more thick and seem slightly ātougherā. Also, they look slightly embossed. In general, I will keep the decks double sleeved.
Btw, if anyone tries it and has problems with inner sleeves not fitting properly, staying out and stuff - the trick is to use a second card behind the innersleeved card - they both go easily in then and you just pull out the second card. Cue sex jokes.
My Dragonshields Matts have just arrived today, so Iāll do a test of KMC hypermats, KMC hypermats double sleeved and Dragonshield mats.
Will post findings!
Ok, I have to say that the Dragonshields Mat are nothing special. They have that ultra pro mat feeling which I correlate with cheapness. Also, they mash shuffle worse than KMC hypermats and WAY worse than double sleeved hypermats.
In fact, double sleeved hypermats mash shuffle PERFECTLY. The sleeves never get in each otherās way and slide in with amazingly awesome feeling.
I am never going back
Yeah i was a bit let down by the feel of the dragon mattes, although they are clearly more robust than the ultra-proās. The corners havent started seriously bending yet and the overall quality i think is pretty high, but then again i am comparing this to ultra pro so take from that what you will.
Ill stick with the dragonshield mattes for a while i think, if only to get a better understanding of the manufacturing quality. Id like to stick with them until they start to seriously degrade (only spent a week or so with them so far) and ill try and comment to this thread when/how they do degrade. Ultra-pros corners and top edge (where the opening is) went soooo quickly.
Didnāt you fail miserably in Brussels?
That would be me youāre thinking of.
Same sleeves?
Not sure whatās that got to do with sleeves?
Failed miserably? Depends⦠I didnāt make top 8, no. But last game I did fight for it (lost to constantine who took 2nd place later on). I also had 4th highest SoS, playing 4 players (out of 6 rounds) with people who went to Top8.
My decks performed well, I was happy with the sleeves, and I learned some new things.
Not sure Iād qualify it as failing miserably.
Hey I want to double sleeve but Iām worried about the cards sliding off one another if theyāre in a stack 45-50 high. Anyone have experience with this happening/not happening?
I played vs a corp that had his deck double sleeved. I realized this because R&D was significantly higher that a regular 49-card deck, but it was just the double sleeving.
Maybe it was some more sliding than normal, but the player commented me that he didnāt leave the cards weighted overnight, that it seems that is what is done to ensure that cards are as flat as possible.
Hope this helps!
Not sure why anyone would double-sleeve Netrunner cards. FFG are going to discontinue the game as evidenced by their bizarre marketing and Apple-like silence related to MWL and perpetual balance issues (also: only perfunctory playtesting indicates resources have already been shunted to other projects). In a year you will be able to use your Netrunner cards as proxies in other card games, or if you have kids you can put 3 x Sifr in the spokes of their bicycle wheels to make it sound like a motorcycle. Good luck have fun!
