Valencia, the combo Anarch?

They might never be able to rez it… but yes, it might be worth a single, for architect as well if it gets rezzed…

Hate to be the Debbie downer but have played this against wraparound?

Nope, but I’ll eat it up if it gets rezzed, even if it costs me 7 (prepaid + bad pub). I’ve eaten archers, tollbooths, curtain walls, etc. Don’t know why I’d care about wraparound. Especially when, again, most of the time I’m blackmailing for accesses anyways. Medium + Medium on R&D is pretty gross. Keyhole + Eater + Blackmail archives is pretty gross. Blackmail for remotes.

Edit: I’m sure wraparound was in the deck somewhere. Possibly even out on the field. I was holding spoon for the tollbooth on the outside, but didn’t need it. Blackmail + Medium for the win!

Game notes: Blackmailed HQ when I figured it was ripe for an Astro, first score. Blackmailed remote to clear out sansan and ash. Blackmailed the remote again for an astro protected by 3 ice*. Got medium and eater and levy. Reset. He got some agendas while I re-ramped up, and managed to wipe 20 credits with a breaking news. Just hammered R&D the rest of the game by using same old, deja and planned to blackmail. SanSan was his only FA that I could see. Biotic would would have given him a chance, but I don’t think he had it. Think there was a midseasons in the deck somewhere, but never saw that either.

Day Job is just fine in this deck. If I end up down to 0 I can fully recover off of pads. There’s usually a point where the corp has no idea what to do next and a full turn for +10 credits is sweet.

Decks that probably give this deck a run for its money:
NEH, I think its fast enough and it doesn’t rely on remotes.
RP, Forcing runs on HQ to blackmail a remote sucks, but you add in all of that stuff that maybe makes the run not worth it and you’re pretty much stuck playing eater keyhole for the win before they run away with the game. Caprice on any server you care about will just suck.
CI - Either FA or Scorch would probably be fine.
PE - It’d be a race. Lots of damage. Keyhole would probably be what you try to do.

And that’s it. HB-FA is too remote reliant since it wants to keep SanSan up usually. Blue sun has folded everytime (though scorch maybe be an option for them). And pretty much all glacier is out if its not RP or packing caprice.

Gross!

10 bucks says BWBI with Crisium will send you home curled up in a fetal position.

Already played that match. I don’t run very often without blackmail, so it wasn’t a problem. Don’t need blackmail to think the run is successful to destroy crisium.

Weyland is more vulnerable, you just money up so that scorch isn’t an option, blackmail into the scoring remote, or if crisium is involved black mail both servers. Even with recursion they’re paying a lot of money to not keep you out. 18 blackmails to score max 4 agendas? You should be able to get there.

What about Ash? All Glacier decks play it, and even just forcing another Blackmail (that you may or may not have at the time) may be enough to keep Valencia out.

The NBN game above played ash 2x’s and I got one out of hand once. Enough remote checking behind ice and I’ll probably opt to eat ice instead and save my blackmails for a central.

Also worth noting that crisium grid won’t stop medium from letting you access extra cards, just from collecting more tokens… so it really depends on the order of the two cards.

After ~20 games with Valencia I think the way to go with her is to play like a crim. Run a lot, run efficiently.

There are definitely a few ways to do it. I don’t think the regular anarch breaker suite is out of the question either; I just find event driven, black-mail spamming Valencia to be nuts.

Blackmail-based is definitely more of a “they’re screwed if they haven’t teched, you’re screwed fi they have” kind of deal. If you meet a PE that scores Clone Retirement first turn, you’re really going to hate your life

Not exactly a daily occurrence.

I’ve played a match where that happened too. Thing was there was another 2x clone retirement for me to score to turn it back on. But there are better tech’s; Elizabeth mills for instance.

It’s probably worth considering something to turn BP back on if it does get turned off.

Currently what I’m testing with. Finding Doppleganger great with cutlery and Wanton Destruction. Helps the RP match some as well. Trying to find a good balance, and still have game if the BP is turned off early.

If that’s your plan, you should probably run Amped Up as well - you want to slap the BP on them the same turn you need to Blackmail their ass.

My problem with her was MU actually. Datasucker plus three breakers plus Atman for Lotus Field doesn’t leave any space for parasite/Imp/medium and you want Desperado as your console for obvious reasons. Mem strips is just another card for you not to draw at the key moment.

Try Datasucker plus two breakers plus Crypsis. That way, you get to run Spooned as your Lotus Field solution and still have an MU slot for parasiting stuff. Small gates want to be parasited anyway, large ones can get Spooned.

As a bonus, Spooned doesn’t trigger on first Gate encountered, only on first one completely broken - so Pop-up, Builder and Yagura won’t stop you from nuking something deeper in.

Oh gross. Amped into IJ into SoT Blackmail against a “Safe” remote sounds horrifying.

Mind if I ask for your build? Valencia’s not as easy to build for as MaxX as you’ve no in-built tutor and splashing for tutor feels silly.

How so? Your ID disadvantage is having a 50 card deck in a faction with no tutoring. Splashing for a tutor seems necissary to me.
