"Will there be anything else sir?" the Jeeves Thread

Against Dumblefork, put Ichi protected by Architect in front of R&D and watch out for the datasucker token. It will slow him down a bit, maybe enough to FA all your things.

Just won a small GNK with a Jeeves list today

As it turns out the ICE suite is almost identical to Maximum Christmasland. Iā€™m running more Ops and less Assets/Upgrades though.

Interested in seeing how this archetype solidifies.

Has anyone tried something likeā€¦

FOUNDRY
Jeeves
Grail/NEXT

???

If youā€™re going to rush, then rush. Thatā€™s the idea.

I have played AGAINST the NEXT ETF jeeves version. It was annoying, but with the right breakers early enough into the game it wasnā€™t too hard to keep jeeves off the table and the corp more or less poor. Also NEXT ice is still naturally weak to parasite and ice destruction (wellā€¦parasite for next silver, spooned for next bronze I guess, depending on str), so I would be surprised to see much of that at the higher tables

How has this deck been faring for people who normally play other HB decks? Iā€™ve had limited time to play lately, so Iā€™m curious to hear from others with more experience piloting it. Part of me wonders if Foodcoats will just be more consistent in many matchups.

I tried it a few times, and really it kinda just feels like HB FA. It leans on the Shipments pretty hard, and it feels like I always want more (which is what reminds me of the old HB FA). Jeeves usually takes the server, so itā€™s kinda awkward if you want an Adonis instead, or if you want to throw an agenda inside if you canā€™t draw Shipments or Biotics. Thatā€™s my initial feelings on it so far.

Anyone here tried Jeeves with Political Dealings in Jinteki?

Yeah, I think the issue is the agenda suite. I tried playing with Political Dealings in RP. It seems that Braintrust and Philotic Entanglement synergise great with Political Dealings alone. Medical Breakthrough too. So thatā€™s 14 points. Do you really want to play any three-pointers that you canā€™t fast advance, even with Jeeves? So, obviously Nisei Mk.II is the best thing to use the combo on, and thatā€™s your 20 points.

So you probably end up with the three copies of Nisei Mk.II and the first Medical Breakthrough (if it doesnā€™t get stolen) that are great if you can get the Jeeves/Political Dealings combo up. Itā€™s great if it happens, but it just seems much easier to score out all of the 3/2 agendas, which only require Political Dealings. Not that Jeeves is useless (who would say no to a free Nisei Mk.II?), but the Political Dealings side of the combo seemed like the most potent and important part. Getting the Jeeves setup for the 4/2 did seem to add non-trivial extra fiddliness. Unless you are envisioning a significantly different agenda suite maybe?

Could run it with some asset spam and play sideways maybe? RP seems solid for protecting your assets and adding a bigger tax than gagarin.

But maybe that build would be better out of IG.

The first pack in the next cycle might tweak defensive Jinteki back towards Replicating Perfection from Industrial Genomics. Georgia Emelyov makes my RP heart sing.

Yep.

And Jinteki has probably the best counter current against Employee Strike, which is just about everywhere it seems these days.

And I would still rather run ELP

ELP is fine, and it is a current which is awesome against Employee Strike. It also works great with bioroids, which helps HB a lot.

Outside of HB, I probably wouldnā€™t bother unless I am RP.

But I feel like it isnā€™t as disruptive against anarchs ultimately, which is the gold standard of the meta right now.

Against Whizzard it lets you asset spam or get sex-bot money with relative impunity.

Against Noise it turns off their disruptive ā€œsolitaireā€ game.

ELP is good. Its probably the best or the second best corp current. But I do think it has some stiff competition from a card that forces anarchs to play differently until they draw their strikes AND hits Haley pretty hard.

Played a fun Jeeves/Political Dealings Palana deck over the weekend, not strong/viable in the Whizzard meta at all but was still entertaining to play.

Agroplex + Sensie + Mandatory draw basically guarantees an agenda draw every turn. Political Dealings allows 3/2s from ā€œhandā€ where Jeeves enables 4/2s. Flooding was definitely a problem as you HAD to find Jackson to get the agendas back in your deck where you could FA with them. Money was also an issue even with Palana, Hedge, Celeb Gift, and Agroplex. You only run ~12-14 ICE and need to protect ~4 servers, HQ, R&D, Jeeves Remote, and Dealings Remote.

Speaking of Heimdall 2.0 hereā€™s a super fun deck been playing around with. Surprisingly strong! @CodeMarvelous I think youā€™ll like this deck since itā€™s a bastardization of Daineā€™s Robocop and a MCH asset spam engine.

The key trick to know is that MCH ā†’ Virtual Tour into Surat City Grid server means you get a 2 cred discount ice rez on demand on runners turn, and probably much more than 2 cred with the brain-tapings. The cool thing is that even without brain-taping you can simply use it to get value out of Mumba temple at end of runnerā€™s turnā€“surat + 3 mumba temple allows us to rez Heimdall 1.0 for free at end of turn  And with MCH, you can do this every turn since you can product recall + install copy #2 every turn. With brain-taping out itā€™s a much better Elizaā€™s Toybox engine.

Anyways, deck is definitely funā€“so cool having Project Wotan be almost as good as Nisei MK II.

Also deck really would like to have 1x Heritage, but I would hate to remove a Surat :frowning:

Bio-fun Time

Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future (Core Set)

Agenda (9)

Asset (17)

Upgrade (5)

Operation (8)

Barrier (5)

Code Gate (5)

Sentry (5)

15 influence spent (max 15)
22 agenda points (between 22 and 23)
54 cards (min 45)
Cards up to Salsette Island

Deck built on NetrunnerDB.

Pick this deck up for a ā€œBio-fun time!ā€ (your mileage may vary).
