Tacoma should have streams up tomorrow/Sunday. I think @BazooKaJoe will be there filming.

*edit - Nevermind, looks like no streams =(

Thanks, added. Missed that one on the spreadsheet.

Wow, attendance was WAYYY down in Seattle today. They had 75 people last year and had split it into two ‘flights’ that would lead to a top 8 on Sunday because of it. However, there were only 20 people in flight 1! It was a bummer because a 40 person tournament in one day would’ve both been more fun, and less traveling (the regional is about an hour from Seattle).

That’s a bummer to hear. I was hoping our Regional would be huge and provide some good data about WA competitive meta.

Personally I didn’t go because I haven’t been in a headspace for competitive gaming of any nature. Add to that the need to find a ride and the fact that it takes place over two days and kills an entire weekend made it easy for me to stay away.

I’d bet that flight 2 will be larger. I know a lot of people that didn’t want to mess with coming on Friday if they could just come down Saturday instead. Friday is a work day for most. It’s honestly really, really dumb that ETX is over Memorial Day weekend, but is on Fri/Sat/Sun rather than Sat/Sun/Mon.

This is the reason a LOT of people don’t go. And if you get placed in the first flight, you have to be there 3 days if you’re an out-of-towner. That’s a huge investment for a tournament.

Yeah, definitely true. I’m also not a big fan of the cut being on a separate day… what if you drive an hour to Tacoma for the cut and then you’re eliminated in an hour?

That being said, for all my griping, I do really like being able to play in a Netrunner regional and a Thrones regional in the same weekend!

Any chance you’d share that Val list? I didn’t get a chance to see it in action but I’ve been itching for a decent Val list recently.
