It’s not much special, just dumblefork with bad pub bonuses (napd, asi protection). Turns out rebirth is pretty good too. Three Kims and two whizzards on the day. Turns out Kim is pretty good vs palana, CI, and kill decks.

Thanks. Neither schedule I have has Paris on it. Do you know if there is a schedule I could see that has those missing regionals on them?

Sydney, you mean?

sorry yeah sydney, with the brisbane people doing so well my brain kinda switched off

Stimhackers reign supreme!
Seattle regionals never ceases to impress with only 1 NEH in the top 8, and for the third year in a row a Portlander takes Seattles regional. But Exile takes second!

Some amazing IDs in that top 8. Are decklists going on Acoo or somewhere?

I mean the interesting ones, not your Whizz/IG combo…

That’s the sort of thing our gang has been talking about. No room for a blackmail or two? Would you have wanted one on the day, or with all the ICE destruction is it a (literal) non-event?

Former Criminal Land. I guess next year will be Anarch then.:smiling_imp:

I was on the fence cutting a Scrubber for a Blackmail. I didn’t miss the Blackmail on the day. I think that Blackmail might run against the typical Dumblefork plan of wanting your opponent to rez ice so that you can destroy it. If the deck were more blackmail-centered, you’d have to water down the ice destruction and play support cards like Plop/Councilman.

Here’s what I ended up running that day:
Exile
Spark

As to the Valencia deck that took first place, it was actually a DDoS/False Echo super Medium dig deck. Not typical Anarch playstyle at all, it was a hoot to play against.

Perth, Western Australia, regional was this past saturday the 28th of May.

21 players. 5 rounds of Swiss and top 8 cut.

  1. Mike Gresham (Noise / Argus)
  2. Hew Tromans (Hayley / Argus)
  3. Louis Probett (Noise / Blue Sun)
  4. Milan Raicevic (Kate / Palana)
5/6) Scott Paisley (Whizzard / EtF)
5/6) Anthony Sweet (Quetzal / RP)
7/8) Dylan Horley (MaxX / Spark)
7/8) Brad Hardwicke (Noise / NEH)

We didn’t have a single IG the entire tournament! I am a bit proud of our meta.

The lack of IG makes me think there is a tacit agreement among players to just not play it. Either that, or the top tier players are purposely not playing it.

Or they don’t want to get timed-out during the elim round, which is actually a real concern.

IG is not as unbeatable as some have made it sound. It’s just another deck option which many players find boring to play. And as pointed out has time concerns.

i’m fairly comfortable against IG
