Worldwide Regional Results

I think I caught the end of the Pittsburgh stream & @jdeng won with Kate. And @tmoiynmwg took down Las Vegas.

I’m really surprised that IG’s still dominant with Salsette Slums around. Was no one on Slums Whizzard?!? Seems like an obviously strong choice right now with recursion & assets at their apex.

IG uses executive search firm to tutor liz mills now. you get like 2-3 slums triggers tops if they don’t get hit by damage.

jdeng was on kate/neh and timmy was on sync/whiz I beleive

Yeah, at least 2 of us in the top 8 were on Slums Whizz, and yeah, Executive Search Firm turns it off fairly fast. I actually really enjoyed the IG vs Whizz games on both sides of the table today. It’s a crazy matchup. It’s a long-ass slog though.

Yeah, over in Pittsburgh Dan was undefeated vs. Slumlord Whizzards–to the point of calling them out in slack

If you know what you’re doing with IG it’s not too hard to fight past ze bullets. I mean clot and the MWL are still things but NEH has won 8 of 17 of these regionals this year.

@sirris wasn’t on ESF, but found tech startup and Mills was doing work.

So assuming IG is on Mills from here out, what’s top target for whizz/slums, assuming you are only going to get 1-2 off (maybe 3-4 post-Levy)? Bio? Hostile? Museum?

If you hit the Bio-Ethics, IG is in deep trouble. Just strategically strike at those.

(Or, if you find Mills and RFG her, it is clear sailing.)

Sure, but I’m assuming that isn’t an option (unless you happen to spot her in r&d while you’re sitting on a slums in hand or something).

Looks like Frontier Gaming didn’t save their broadcast of the Vegas regional yesterday :frowning:

Wanted to congratulate @bluebird503 who took down the PDX Regionals, I believe. If not this is quite the faux-pas. Had the pleasure of meeting and playing you in a Seattle SC and you seemed very humble and friendly.

After hearing the top 8 was 50% IG I imagine the day was pretty taxing. I would be interested to see stats on the day; I’m wondering what the Corp/Runner win percentage was.

They’ve been uploaded to youtube, thankfully:

@jdeng @tmoiynmwg care to share your deck lists?

I would love to see stats on % of rounds played (versus bye/ID) for players making the cut.

Sounds like some regionals have multiple people making the cut after bye/sweep/ID/ID. If that happens a lot, that doesn’t seem good for the tournament scene and would argue for having ID only available last round.

i would be interested by the lists also =)

This is mostly a result of 16 - 32 player tournaments going to 4 rounds top 8 as opposed to 5 rounds top 4.

Love for the name anagrams.

I see what you did there with the names…

But isn’t 4 rounds top 4/top 8 required for those numbers by the tournament rules?

Man that runner deck. That’s how you tech against IG and keep a solid game elsewhere. Good times.
